This list was released early in the day on Friday by  the Eagles.  I put it up on GCobb.com and the Eagles later said it was released in error, but  reports have confirmed that Dirk Johnson and Jeremy Bloom have been cut. They were both on the list.

The Philadelphia Eagles just announced that QB A.J. Feeley underwent successful surgery this morning to repair a fractured third metacarpal in his left hand.  The procedure was performed by Dr. John Taras in Philadelphia.

So far the answer to the title is no, but the big discussion in the press box last during the Eagles-Jets game concerned Eagles left defensive end Jevon Kearse.  The question was asked again and again.  Will the Eagles release Jevon Kearse?

The Eagles offense is going to have to carry this football team early in the season.  The Birds should have a balanced offense which is potent  and explosive both through the air and on the ground. 

As if Andy Reid didn't have enough problems.  A.J. Feeley broke a finger on his left hand, now the Eagles have to make a decision at QB.  Do they really feel comfortable with the rookie Kevin Kolb as the backup?

It's not so much the Eagles versus the Jets tonight at Lincoln Financial Field, it's every man for himself tonight.  This is the last try out tonight for guys trying to make the football team.

I was on 610-WIP today and will be on again tommorow which is Thursday August 30th from 10am to 3pm with Steve Martorano.  I'm sitting in for Anthony Gargano who is on vacation.  One of our topics today was Andy Reid's son Britt and his problems.

Andy Reid's son Brit was charged with driving under the influence and drug violations while he waits to be sentenced for a prior road rage incident.  The police found 33 pills in his pockets and over 200 pills in his automobile.

I was concerned about the Eagles defense during the off season and I'm still concerned about them now.  The offense has so many players who are tough, talented and committed that you know they'll be alright. I can’t the same about the defense.

I’ve been totally disappointed with what I’ve seen of Jevon Kearse.  He hasn't shown us this preseason that he's ready to have a big year.  Jevon was supposed to be a superstar when he came here, but we haven’t seen superstar production.
