Eagles head coach Andy Reid was on 610-WIP this evening with Howard Eskin and he said Kevin Kolb is going to start this Thursday’s game in the Meadowlands against the Jets.

He's already said that he doesn't think his body can make through the season along with the fact that he has a tear in his rotator cuff.  Now Brett Favre has another physical problem.  On top of the rotator cuff tear he might have broken ribs.

Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger tweets that Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora was not at practice today and that it was an unexcused absence.

Fans around the NFL are getting on the Michael Vick bandwagon by purchasing his jersey in huge numbers.  According to CNBC, Vick ranks fourth in the league when it comes to jersey sales.

You are seeing more and more people starting to jump up and question whether Donovan McNabb actually wanted Michael Vick in Philly, or if the team was the one that came up with the idea.

The Eagles just started their practice today and Kevin Curtis will miss yet another workout due to swelling on his knee.  They say his hamstring and groin problems are items of the past, so they’re counting on him for the opener. 

Donovan McNabb did his weekly news conference today and talked about the rhythm issue which was discussed by offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg yesterday during his time with the media yesterday.

According to NFL.com the New England Patriots are interested in signing Eagles current third string quarterback A.J. Feeley.  The Eagles aren't interested in trading him until they know how soon Michael Vick is going to be able to play.

Since he was drafted in 2006 Jason Avant has had to prove himself every year and increase his role and responsibilites. Last year was a good example of his potential, Big Red decided his slot guy would be Avant.

The Eagles went through a dual workout yesterday as they prepared for both a final preseason game against the Jets and their first regular season game against the Carolina Panthers.
