Eagles flamboyant wide receiver and punt returner DeSean Jackson has been named the NFC Special Teams Player Of The Month.  Jackson broke an 85 yard punt return during the first game of the season in Carolina.

I had the opportunity to talk to an exhausted Jeremiah Trotter tonight. After an overwhelming day with the Philadelphia media, Trott was still ready to talk football.

Not only has Kevin Kolb solidified himself as a competitor for the Eagles starting quarterback position, he will be named the NFC Offensive Player Of The Week for his performance against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Some of this is old but I figured I would weigh in on all the latest issues.

It’s official, veteran middle linebacker Jeremiah Trotter signs a one-year deal with the Eagles and the Birds released quarterback Jeff Garcia. 

Donovan I want you to get in the training room and get that rib right.  You should live over there if you have to.  BWest, I want you over there with him. 

How long have the Eagles argued about not needing a number one receiver?  They said they would rather have a bunch of average guys. Their head coach loves to throw the ball but for some reason they didn’t need a number one receiver.

It’s tough to judge how good the Eagles are right now or how good they can be as we move forward.¬† The Kansas City Chiefs are a pretty awful team and the Eagles absolutely clobbered them.¬†

The Eagles worked out Jeremiah Trotter this afternoon to get a better feel for his health and conditioning.  While nothing is imminent as of now, Andy will probably be making a decision in the next few days.

We got more a glimpse at LeSean McCoy yesterday and we see that he’s not a blazer but a guy who can make you miss with his moves.  The jury’s not out on the kid but he started in the right direction and didn’t make any big mistakes.
