Jason Peters Explains After Game That “Ain’t Nobody Perfect”

Eagles left tackle Jason Peters had a difficult game against the Washington Redskins, but he went into defense mode after the game when he was questioned by sports anchor/reporter Jamie Apody of Channel Six.

Peters has struggled all season with holding and motion penalties, but he may have taken things to another level against the Redskins.  The guy has become a “walking and talking” momentum killer.

The locker room was nearly cleared out when I walked into the Apody interview of Peters.  The big left tackle was talking about the injury to Michael Vick and the change to Kevin Kolb at the quarterback position.

When Apody asked him about how the penalties contributed to the loss, Peters started talking defensively.  He disagreed with Apody’s claim that penalties lead to losses.”Ain’t nobody perfect”, he commented.

“I pretty sure that 90% of the teams that won had plenty of penalties”, Peters said while in defense mode.

Check it out for yourself.

Dude is awful. If he is not holding, then he is letting a guy go right past him. With all of the injuries, the high priced left tackle should be the anchor. Instead he is getting outplayed by everyone on the line.

He’s terrible. Eagles should have never traded that 1st rd pick & just drafted Michale Oher. would have been cheaper too

What an aboslute waste of money and draft picks. Jason peters does not deserve to breathe air that productive football players use to win games. He is terrible the absolute worst walking penatly machine i have ever seen. “Nobodys Perfect” ….cant agrre with you there jason. You seem to PERFECTLY get penatlys and injuries every game since weve had you.

Despite the fact Kolb was getting only short chunks of yardage he did go in for one TD

AND he was moving the team on the next to the last series when another holding penalty got called
8 damn penalties –every week

I think the entire OL (outside of W Justice) had a holding penalty on them yesterday..
Herremans had the big one on VIcks run when he was injured, Also RG Jean-Gilles
I’ll be honest, I thoguht the O/Line actually played their best game of the Season yesterday
(outside of some questionalbe holding calls)s. For the most part, VIck (when he was in) and Kolb
had plenty of time to survey the field and throw.. I think in Kolb’s case, he simply looked at getting rid or the ball to the closes receiver to him and did not survey the field and most of the time, he actually had the time to do so which is a typical reaction by a nervous, unsure, indecisive QB which is what he is right now…

I thought MJG played pretty darn well. And I think they should draft an LT next year and move Peters inside to RG. He is a superb run blocker and an entirely incompetent pass blocker. I’m thinking that v. DTs, he’s big enough to hold his own. It’s the speedy/finese guys that he is incapable of blocking…. just a thought

G, tell me if you see something different but after the reporters following question, it looked like he tried to take the spirit of a “victim”. It looks like he wants some sympathy. Especially with the question coming from a woman. This is even worse news. That whole clip honestly says to me, “I’m scared. I’m under too much pressure. I want my mommy.”

Pman – concur – the o line did a decent job. The offense took what the skins defense gave them. The offense took turns making mistakes, so to pick one person out is wrong. McCoy played well, but he doesn’t fumble we get at least three – that disaster at the end of the first half… each O line picked up a penalty –
Most of those check down throws were the third and fourth reads, that’s a lot of time.

Kolb is Ass…Maclin was and DJax were wide open running in the secondary and that bum couldn’t get them the ball…I wish someone else would talk about a controversy..90 percent of his completions was to outlet recievers to avoid getting hit..What a damn bum!

Songs – you are the only one I know who can tell by the TV who was running free through the secondary…… poepl ALWAYS look like they are running free through a zone.. right up until the QB throws and people break on the ball – then it becomes – how stuipid, didn’t he see the XX sitting back there..

Kolb managed the game very well. HE moved the team, kept possession of the ball, avoided turnovers. He gave the ball to his backs/TE and let them use there legs to make plays – this one isn’t on Kolb…

Jason should ride the pine and get Austin Howard in there to protect Kolb…he’s gonna need it.
