The Eagles injury situation could be a problem on Sunday night.  William Thomas is doubtful so Winston Justice must step up handle  Giants DE Osi Umenyiora.  This could be a problem because Justice is inexperienced.

Half the Eagles team is getting extra treatment and trying to recover from some type of injury.  At least the guys are spending a lot of time together.  Here's a look at the Eagles Friday injury situation.

After three games, Brodrick Bunkley might be the Eagles most valuable defensive player because of the way he has forced offensive lines to double team him.  He's helped make offensive one-dimensional by taking away the run.

I thought the Eagles were headed toward getting a break and not having to face Plaxico Burress this week but that’s not going to happen.  The 6’5” playmaker says he’s going to play this Sunday night.

The health report for the Birds is no better today than it was yesterday.  All the big names that missed practiced yesterday also missed practice today.  The healthier team will probably be the winner.

Eagles Brian Westbrook, Brian Dawkins, William Thomas and Lito Sheppard, along with Giants Plaxico Burress and Derrick Ward, all missed practice yesterday and are regarded as day to day.

Eagles young Sam linebacker Chris Gocong will have his hands full dealing with Giants tight end Jeremy Shockey.  He'll have to cover Shockey one-on-one when the Giants are throwing then beat his block on run plays.

Eli Manning seems to be growing into the quarterback position for the Giants.  He showed some heart in the second game of the season when he played despite having a bruised shoulder.

I’m concerned about Plaxico Burress who is the number one weapon the Eagles must stop in the Giants aerial arsenal. He seems to torch the Birds secondary with his size and ability to go get the ball at its highest point.

The Giants defense boasts some talented defensive ends, a decent linebacking corps and a questionable secondary.  Here is my take on the individuals that make up the unit that will challenge McNabb and Co. on Sunday.
