Employers shouldn't be paying their employees this week. It's like a big weekend because everybody is going to be in a holiday mood throughout the entire week. It's Monday and people were calling last weekend the July 4th holiday weekend. They won't get up to speed until Tuesday night. Then they'll be off on July 4th, they won't get back up to speed until Friday night. The weekend will be here again, so only a fool of an employer will pay people to come to work and go through the motions.
Congratulations to the three Phillies who made the All-Star team, Chase Utley, Cole Hamels, and Aaron Rowand . I was disappointed that Jimmy Rollins didn't make the team despite the fact that he has had a great first half. I also expected last year's MVP Ryan Howard would get a chance to get voted as the last player.
Like it or not, Barry Bonds will be the starting left fielder in this year's All-Star game . Barry will bring out all who love him and hate him and that will add a buzz to this year's All-Star game. Ken Griffey Jr. will be the starting right fielder and he will also help give the game some pizzazz.
