Hall Shocked By Vick Indictment

Moments ago on the NFL Network, Atlanta Falcons cornerback DeAngelo Hall says he was shocked by the indictment of his teammate Michael Vick.

Hall said he thought Vick was out of the water when ESPN reported that they didnt' think he was going to be charged.  Now Hall says it's going to be a whirlwind atmosphere during their training camp. He said he expects Michael Vick to be at the training camp and he says that the QB is headed for a tough situation.

DeAngelo says Michael told him he has never been at the property which was the staging area for the dog fighting. Vick told Hall that he always stayed with his Mom at another property in the Virginia area.  Hall who went to college with Vick at Virginia Tech, said he will stay strong behind his teammate and he hopes things workout.  Hall said owner Arthur Blank doesn't play any game so Vick will have to answer to him.

The NFL is angry that Michael Vick has put himself in the situation where he would be indicted on such serious charges.  The Commissioner could have a say about this case.  Adam Schefter says there's information in the indictment that contradicts what Vick told the Commissioner earlier in the year at the NFL draft.

Former player and NFL analyst Jamie Dukes says there's still a huge Michael Vick following  in Atlanta and many of them don't think this dogfighting ring is that serious.  Dukes thinks Vick will be suspended even if he is found not guilty because of the standard that was set when the Commissioner suspended Pacman Jones for damaging the image of the league.   Jamie says that the indictment of Vick will definitely hurt the image of the league and probably wind up with a lengthy suspension of the speedy QB.

Deon Grant of the Seattle Seahawks is a friend of Michael Vick and said he hopes Michael is innocent of the charges.
