Fitzgerald Stays Put

As first reported on his own website, Larry Fitzgerald has restructured his contract with the Arizona Cardinals.  The new deal is reportedly worth $40 million over four years, with $30 million guaranteed.  Fitzgerald will hit the free agent market at the ripe old age of 28.

For the Cardinals, this means some much-needed cap relief.  Fitzgeralds cap number will go from a whopping $16,485,000 to a manageable $7,643,334.  This still doesn't help Arizona as far as bringing in free agents, as most of them are gone.
