The NFL owners are going to have a meeting next week where they will discuss Spygate issues and tampering issues. Spygate will be on the table because of Bill Belichick and the Patriots and tampering because of the 49ers. Whatever happened to integrity?
Of course everybody knows that Belichick and the Patriots lost a 1st round pick because they were caught taping the New York Jets assistant coaches as they signaled in the defenses.
The Niners coughed up a fifth round pick because they were caught tampering with Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Briggs.
The meeting will be held in Palm Beach, Florida and will also deal with the upcoming collective bargaining agreement which a number of the owners have already said they don't plan on signing. The Cowboys Jerry Jones is one fo the owners who has said he doesn't plan on signing the agreement.
The NFL could wind having a year where there is no cap. You know people like Jerry Jones and the Redskins Daniel Snyder would go wild signing players. This situation is developing and could eventually become the most important item that will be discussed next week.
