McNabb tells ProFootballweekly.com who he is closest to on the Eagles football team.
McNabb on who he's closest to on the Eagles:
"Yeah, I am real cool with the janitors, the cooks." (laughs)
You know, Brian Dawkins is a guy that, I think he and I are the quarterbacks of the defense and offense, and we’re a part of the elder statesmen, trying to make sure the young guys are prepared. We both try to show by example. He’s more of a vocal leader than I am.
Usually when Dawk speaks — and he’s energetic — you let him go. If I begin to say something, people let me go. They are not used to me saying it the way I would say it when I raise my voice. You’ve got to change it up; a change of pace is good. But Dawk and I, we’re good friends."
You could see how McNabb and Dawkins could have relationshp that on another level than his relationship with other team members. They've both been there a long time together.
The truth of the matter is Donovan is probably just as close with Andy as he is with Dawkins because he and Andy have to work so close together all the time.
They're the ones who take more of the criticism is the team doesn't win so I'm sure this encourages some closeness.
Unfortunately, both of them could be out of here this year if they don't have big seasons.
