Reid Not Willing To Give Away Lito

Andy Reid was very clear that he wasn't going to give away Lito Sheppard.

Reid was interviewed by the Comcast Sportsnet's Neil Hartman.  I agree with him wholeheartedlly.  Sheppard has won quite a few big games for the Birds over the years with big plays.

Do you remember the interceptions he's returned for touchdowns against the Cowboys?  What about the pick that saved the season against the Panthers?

Those big plays are hard to come by and very important therefore I would love to see the Birds hang onto him.

NFL offenses live and die by throwing the ball.  Reid was explaining that Asante Samuel has only played the left corner whereas Sheldon Brown and Sheppard have played all over.

Then Reid pointed out that the nobody had a problem when the Birds had Troy Vincent, Bobby Taylor and Al Harris.  He's right.  There's no reason to get rid of Sheppard.  Jim Johnson is going to get plenty of chances to to use these guys.

If having these three will help the Birds get turnovers, then how could any Birds supporter have a problem with it.

The Giants Super Bowl win has everybody saying you can't have too  many pass rushers, may be the Eagles will show that you can't have too many quality corners.
