4,000 yards for Donovan?

My thoughts on the Eagles/Browns game will be coming soon, but for right now, I want to talk about McNabb.

There is a ton of talk that Donovan will be gone after this season.  But, there is something I find curious.  After D Mac threw up 290 yards on Monday night (would have had more, but they pulled him for Kolb in the blowout), he now has 3,511 yards for the season.  According to most, 3,000 is the benchmark for a nice season.  Maybe that's a little bit archaic – like 1,000 yards for a running back or wide receiver – but 3,000 is a nice season regardless.

So, with two games remaining, Donovan needs less than 500 yards to reach 4,000 for the season.  I don't care who you ask, 4,000 yards is a monster year.  If he averages 245 yards over the next two games, he'll eclipse 4k for the year.  How on Earth do you get rid of a 4,000-yard passer?

McNabb's record in a season is 3,875, and that was in 2004 with a certain wide receiver whose name I just can't remember.  Granted, he only played one series in the final two games.  But, considering the Eagles need to win these last two games, it's not crazy to think that McNabb could set a personal record for yards in a season.  Then what?

Could Andy and Co. really pull the plug and move a 4,000-yard passer for a guy that's done nothing but throw INT's for touchdowns?

Just askin'.
