The young LB group now has a full season of experience together and will only be better in 2009 (maybe we will even get to see the beast that is Joe Mays). I wouldn't be shocked to hear Bradley named to the Pro Bowl and in conversations that discuss the best Middle LBs in the conference.
Bunkley and Patterson are each on the verge of a Pro Bowl berth as well. As a pair there are few better DT combinations in the NFL. The DEs should be better with a full season from Clemons and Abiamiri (Bryan Smith could also surprise).
The secondary still has Pro Bowl CB Samuel and the steady Brown. Mikell was the best Safety on the team last year and should warrant serious attention and Pro Bowl consideration with Dawkins gone. The unit will surely miss the fire and leadership of Dawkins, but Sean Jones' on-the-field play (based on his career numbers) should be equal to if not better than the 2008 Dawkins.
So enough with the rebuilding talk. The Eagles D is dominant. The offense still has time to add additional pieces (draft, trade market). The 2009 Eagles will again be among the top teams in the NFC.
