Ibanez to the DL

Awesome.  This is terrific.  The Phillies have gone ahead and placed Raul Ibanez on the DL.

Ibanez has had a groin injury that's been bugging him a bit since April.  But it's only really begun to affect his play recently.  He just can't move around all that well, which highlights the downside of Ibanez:  he's old.

I personally don't think the guy should ever have to buy his own beer in this town based on what he has done so far for the Phillies.  And if this doesn't scream "go get another starting pitcher," I don't know what does.  This offense has repeatedly bailed out poor starting performances and Ibanez was a big part of that.

I think there is a very, very small percentage of people in the 215 area code that didn't blurt out an expletive upon hearing or reading this news.  The best part is that they aren't even sure how long he'll be out.

"We'll find out as he goes through his rehab and does the things he needs to do to get it calmed down," GM Reuben Amaro said via Philly.com. "We'll monitor him. We'll monitor him every day and see how he feels and hopefully he'll properly and be ready in 15 days. That's the plan, that'd be great, but I don't know if that's going to happen."

I wanted to post you that tiny remark to say thanks a lot over again just for the nice secrets you have featured in this case. It was really seriously open-handed with you to grant publicly just what many individuals might have offered for an ebook to generate some dough for themselves, mostly now that you might have tried it in case you desired. These secrets as well served to be a good way to fully grasp that other people online have the identical fervor much like my personal own to know the truth more regarding this matter. I am sure there are numerous more pleasant periods in the future for many who read your site.
