Jason Peters Puts On The Pads For 1st Time

The Eagles big, tatented and physical offensive tackle Jason Peters put the pads on this morning for the first time since he's been a Philadelphia Eagle.  The big fella got in some good work and took part in most of the practice but didn't get into the "live" tackling session.

He did a good solid job while working at the left tackle spot.

They're working him back in there gradually since he had muscle spasms in his left thigh after the team's fitness test on the first day of camp.

Afterwards he said he didn't have much problem getting in there and putting in some work.  Peters says he's in good shape despite not practicing because he's been running and doing drills on the side.

With Peters back in action, the goal now is to get his battery mate on the other side, Shawn Andrews, back into action.

Jason was Shawn's roomate at Arkansas during the collegiate days.

Peters said he had spoken to Shawn and that he's feeling better and anxious to get out there and get some work in.

The former Buffalo Bills said he doesn't anticipate much difficulty getting this line on the same page because it's so early.

Eagles center Jamaal Jackson said basically the same thing when he was asked about chemistry on the team's offensive line.
