The one thing that has been constant in the three games the Eagles have played so far this season is the fact that DeSean Jackson is one of the most dangerous players in the National Football League.
He has taken his game to another leve and is clearly the best receiver the Eagles have had since Terrell Owens was wearing the midnight green.
Two games in a row Kevin Kolb has hit Jackson on long crossing routes where he has been wide open. Once he shows off his speed, defensive backs give him all the room in the world, so he’s able to run crossing routes and come backs with ease.
When the Eagles run into better defenses, they’re going to ahve to be creative in getting him in position to make plays. After the first three games, how could a team think they could cover him with one player.
He strikes quick and he does it from long distance. Once it becomes a foot race between Jackson and an opposing player, you’re talking about a long touchdown play.
Jackson has also showed us he’s willing to put his body on the line by taking a big hit to catch the football. When you consider the fact that he’s weighing only 170 pounds, this says a lot about Jackson’s attitude.
The young wide receiver should expect cornerbacks to move up into his face and try to jam him as he comes off the line.
