According to Kate Fagan’s Twitter account, Allen Iverson was limited during Saturday’s practice because of a stress fracture in his right fibula.¬† Ouch, that can’t be pleasant.“76ers update: Green did not practice. day-2-day w/ sprained rt. MCL. Iverson limited w/ stress reaction in rt. fibula. Speights practiced,” Fagan tweets.
She’s definitely got the hang of this Twitter thing.¬† She conveyed quite a bit of information within her 140-character limit.¬†
But anyway, as Iverson gets up there in age, these things are really going to take their toll on him.¬† He used to play with broken legs and severed arms all the time and it wasn’t that big of a deal.¬† But now, it’s going to really slow him as he tries to get his conditioning back.¬† Rotoworld says that there’s no guarantee that he plays Monday night.¬†
As for the rest of the injuries….I’m not sure what to say.¬† This is a bad team right now.¬† Yes, there is some talent out there, but between the injuries, the guys not knowing the new system yet, and the guys not being a fit for the system to begin with, well, you get a huge skid like the one they are in right now.¬†
