Can Maclin Force Cowboys Out Of Focus On Jackson?

Maclin goes after the ball Has Jeremy Maclin learned how to beat the press technique which Dallas cornerback Mike Jenkins likes to employ?

In the last Dallas game Maclin tipped a pass which he should have caught into the air and it turned into a Cowboys score.

On another interception he didn’t get his head around to see the ball and let Cowboys corner Mike Jenkins pick it off to set up another score.

It’s simple, Dallas will go man to man most of the time and keep somebody deep to help for deep throws to Jackson.  If Maclin can beat his man in one on one situations, the Eagles offense will have a big game.

Maclin makes a play Still the Eagles brain trust must solves some problems it encountered during the first game.

Have Andy Reid and Marty Mornhinweg learned how to free up DeSean Jackson from the man to man coverages by Terrence Newman which the Cowboys will use?  Jackson will be given a lot of attention by the Dallas secondary.

Will they be able to take advantage of the man to man coverage against tight end Brent Celek and fullback Leonard Weaver?

Do they have a way of running their screens, which the Cowboys will be looking for without tipping them off before the blocking can get in place?

Cowboy head coach and defensive coordinator Wade Phillips likes to keep things simple on the defensive side, but they will make some changes in order to try to contain the Eagles quick striking offense.

Phillips didn’t mince words when talking about the key to the Eagles offense.  It’s Donovan McNabb.

DeMarcus Ware, Anthony Spencer and Jay Ratliff will be turned lose and asked to get pressure on McNabb.  They’ll also be an occassional blitz but for the most part, the front four will be asked to get in McNabb’s face.

This is what the battle will come down to when the Eagles have the ball.
