I’m Picking Both Of The Home Teams This Weekend

Manning in throwing motionAs much as I would love to the see the Jets beat the Colts, I think they’ve got to play the perfect game to upset them and I don’t see that happening.

I also am going with the Saints in the NFC game because the Vikings won’t have a healthy Ray Edwards who was the defensive key to them beating the Cowboys.

Peyton Manning won’t have to be perfect against the Jets but he can’t make the mistakes he did against the Ravens.  He knows that his football team will probably win the game if they can stay away from turnovers and put 20 points on the board.

The Jets will run the football and rely on their defense to force turnovers and shorten the field for their offense.  Rex Ryan doesn’t have enough confdence in rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez to put the ball in the air.

Brees in the pocket If the Colts can get ahead by two touchdowns, they’ll force New York out of their run-dominated offense and put the game on the back of the rookie.  The Indy pass rush led by Dwight Freeney will get the chance to pressure Sanchez force him into mistakes.

I like the Colts in a close one 20-10.

In the NFC game, Brett Favre will try to work his magic again and he should be able to do just that against the New Orleans defense.  I think the key for the Vikings will be getting their running back Adrian Peterson going again.

If they can run the ball they can control it and keep Drew Brees and the Saints off the football field.

I don’t like the Vikings defensive secondary against New Orleans.  Ray Edwards who played such a key role in the victory over the Cowboys, is hurting and won’t be any where near 100% on Sunday.

Brees will be getting the ball out of his hand and the Saints will double team Jared Allen.  I think they’ll quite few points on the board and that’s why I like the Saints in this one, 34-26.
