Allen Iverson Admits Things Aren’t Going Well

Iverson Stephen A. Smith didn’t mince words on Sunday when he pulled the wraps off the gambling and drinking problems of Allen iverson and how they’re on the verge of totally destroying him.

There are some sports fans and members of the media in the area who think Stephen A. was wrong for unloading Iverson’s problems but I’m not one of them.

I saw Allen living on the wild side when I covered the team during their run to the NBA Finals in 2001.  He was out of control.

He pushed the envelope for year and is now banned from numerous casinos in Atlantic City and the Detroit area.

He has been paid over $200 million dollars during his career and there are a lot of people who doubt that he has anything to show for it.

His wife Tawanna seems to have had all she wants of his act and the NBA is closing the door on his career.

Iverson Allen is now forced to deal with himself and his issues.  I think Stephen A.’s article may help to slap some sense into him but in reality it’s probably a long shot like everyone else and everything else that has tried to gives him a heads up.

If he doesn’t do something immediately he will be having a cell door slammed behind him or the door to the morgue.  It’s sad but it’s true and it’s his own doing.

Last night he tweeted the following to his fans.

“To my fans: You all know that my life isn’t perfect. I am going through some very tough times right now, like I am sure that we all do . . . from time to time. However, I will stand tall like always with ‘rhino’ thick skin. Even though I have become used to hearing people say . . . things about me that aren’t true, it still hurts. I encourage you to continue your ongoing support and I want you to trust that this is . . . another obstacle in my life that, with God’s help I will overcome. God Bless You All.”

Maybe Allen can go overseas and play more basketball.  He’s got a world wide name, so you would think that he would be a draw over there.

Do you think Allen will finally change his ways?
