Eagles Agree To Two-Year Deal With Former Colt

Marlin Jackson The Philadelphia Eagles have signed former Indianapolis Colts cornerback, Marlin Jackson to a two-year deal.  They don’t plan on using him as a corner but as a safety.

Jackson has suffered ACL tears in the last two years which have ended his season each time.  They believe he can do the tackling at the safety spot because he played the corner position in the Colts two-deep zone defense.

In that defense they rely on their corners to come up in run support.  They have to be physical.

It also doesn’t hurt that he has covered wide receives as a corner because you get caught one-on-one when you play weak safety in this league.

A press conference is scheduled for 4pm.
