I’ve gotten several texts and emails wondering about Jayson Werth sitting out today’s game against the Colorado Rockies. With all the trade rumors flying lately, it wouldn’t be too difficult to connect the dots between the trade talk and him not playing today.
But, Jon Paul Morosi of Foxsports.com says not to be alarmed, it doesn’t mean anything.
“Werth isn’t in #Phillies lineup today. But don’t start wondering. “Day off. Nothing more,” source says. #MLB #Rays,” he tweets.
Ross Gload has taken his spot in right field today.
