Wet Field, Jackson Sees Austin Get The Money, Reid In No Nonsense Mood

This afternoon’s opening game battle between the Eagles and the Packers could be a 60-minute highlight film or a mistake-filled mess of a game.

It’s very likely that the Birds and the Pack will be playing in the rain this afternoon.  Rain could mean loose balls or a sloppy field, which makes it impossible for defenders to cover their men.

I think the inclement weather will make it more important to get off to a fast start.  The field could get so bad that the offenses are unable to run many plays effectively.  That would make a low-scoring defensive battle and give a huge advantage to the team which jumps on top.

Imagine if you’re DeSean Jackson and you read or hear about the huge deal Miles Austin just received from the Cowboys.  He had one very season a year ago and for that he’s rewarded with six-year $54 million dollar deal with $17 million of it coming this year.

Jackson was on the NFC Pro Bowl team with Austin after the 2009 season.  The speedy wideout will make less than a million this season.  He was already unhappy with his contract.  This can’t help.

Andy Reid was no nonsense this week.  Numerous times he could be seen stopping practice, chewing somebody out and telling the guys to run the play again.

He knows that everybody’s eyes are on him now.  Reid wants to show that he can continue to win with different personnel.  He knows not to believe all the talk about the city having patience with this young team.

Les Bowen asked Reid if he had thought about how using Michael Vick would lower Kevin Kolb’s statistics and make it easier for critics to claim he’s a bust.  Reid responded that he hadn’t thought about it and didn’t care about it.

This move is either the best thing that have happened to the Eagles and Reid or the worse. The heat is turned up and now he’s changing his demeanor…let’s hope this transfers to the field but if the players don’t respond,,,,,,,,he’s toast.

How about that Jerry Jones? Now, that’s a class owner who is willing to put it all on the line for his top performers. I wish he would have purchased the Eagles…we would have a few championships by now…Well…I live in Philadelphia and should be use to sub par owners by now.

It is also interesting that, that darn Brilliant Jerry guy’s team has been so much better than them there poor misses owned and managed Eagles during the Reid era. Hey someone told me the Cowboys were going to the superbowl the very same year that them poor dang Eagles went to their 5th NFC Champ (Which they did lose), so excuse me while I go out an take a moment for so clarity, my universe has gone Twilight on me. Pardon me guys I need sometime to myself.

how about the 49ers..
the locked up MLB P WIllis to a long-term deal and now TE V Davis to another long team…
They got 2 stud O/Lineman in the 1st round of the draft in G M Iupati and T A Davis to go aloing with Pro-Bowler LT J Staley already, they signed Veteran RB B Westbrook to help bring a winning attitude,mind-set to a very young team..I forgot to mention that this is in addition to an Offense that has improving QB A Smith, big time potential WR M Crabtree, T Ginn JR,with All-Pro RB F Gore & TE V Davis… This 49er team could be good for a while…

“UH-OHHHHH; WOWWW”! The money thing again eh. I’m not going to dwell on that because it is our first game and I’m looking for us to come out firing on all cylinders, beating the pack, and putting the league on notice today. Oh lets Dooo It! (By the way Songs, I agree you gotta respect a guy like JJ who’s willing to put it all on the line for his playmakers; even giving it to them at the right time – the beginning of the season). Oh yeah, if AR is getting “pissed” now, who cares. He should of been getting pissed after not winning a couple of superbowls over the last 10 years. But ( I’ll take it easy on him for now until/if he screws up calling a play/clock management) He’s our coach and I’ll pull for him as well.

Jerry Knows one playoff win in the last 11 years, that my friend is what jerry knows. Man I wish it was possible for the Cowgirls and skins to have a 0-0 tie tonight. Yeah I know its not possible fellas so spare me any commentary, but it would make feel sooooo very nice.

Yea how bout that genius Jerry Jones. Waited how long to pay Ware, yet made a guy who performed for one year one of highest paid WR’s in the game. And it was also certainly brilliant to give up how many draft picks for Roy Williams? One of the other HIGHEST paid WRs in the game? He certainly is genius and what a great example of making a point…

It is certainly possible to for the cowboys and skins to have a 0-0 tie, but highly unlikely.
I have major doubts about Kevin Kolb’s accuracy on passes more than 20 yards. He does not appear to have a strong arm and does not appear to be able to put the ball into tight coverage. Our defense looks pretty good so far, but our offense, with all of it’s gimmicks, looks awful. Can we get McNabb back for longs throws, and use Kolb for the short stuff?

It’s halftime and I told you all this damn Kolb guy is a DAMN BUM!!!!!!

The Defense – fine

Offensive line – fine

The only problems is the position this organization said would be improved with Kolb as QB

This gamw eould be out of reach for Green Bay if Mcnabb was leading this same exact team.

Where’s the accuracy we were told would be there?

Where’s the Leadership?

He don’t even have 30 freakin yards passing and Andy have called pases 80% of the game.

This same exact team would contend if Mcnabb was here.

“F” it!!!!! Let Kolb play all year…That’s what these simple ass Eagles fans deserve.

What excitement!!!!!

I wish another loser come on here and compare this damn bum to Aaron Rogers again…Compare Aaron Rogers to Mcnabb….

He’s big, strong arm, mobile and can throw on the run.

Why in the hell did they draft Kolb?

He’s a damn bum….and cost this team and opportunity to contend.

Yes, let’s give him a shot…we’ll contend in 2013

Eagles Fans…it’s 1/2 time and this damn bum don’t even have 50 yards passing and don’t want any part of the NFL

Got Damn Bum……The Eagles fans should really meditate on this….feel this moment.

THIS IS WHAT YOU WANTED!!!!!!!

A GOD DAMN BUM!!!!!

Not a big Vick fan but Vick’s been in for 5 plays and has 20yds and two first downs including setting up the only points and Kolb has thrown for 20 yards and had 3 INTs dropped.

Forget about the pro bowl, your new contract, and you can definately forget about the Superbowl.

SONGS-

Truth hurts….keep telling it like it is. We have gotten used to having good contending teams, but always with a piece or 2 missing. This year is no different-McNabb was the fall guy…but we are beginning to see that the problems were much bigger than him…

As long as the ownership is tight with the purse strings we will continue to be close…and continue to be disappointed by being close but never winning the superbowl.

If DJax doesnt get paid what he deserves…it will be another sign of how management continues to punk players…they even tried it with Westbrook for a bit …who gave all for the team…

A QB like McNabb is franchise, they dont come around often….
My question is when the Eagle Nation will recognize that the problems are at the top with the stingy ownership….

Songs, keep tellin it–I miss the commentary of FADE2BLACK…
