Iguodala out against Knicks Sunday

In case you didn’t notice – and judging by the attendance you haven’t – the Sixers lost Andre Iguodala to an Achilles injury in Friday night’s loss to the Lebron-less Cleveland Cavaliers. The good news is that it isn’t serious, but according to Adam Levitan of Rotoworld.com, he’ll miss Sunday’s battle for the Atlantic division lead with the New York Knicks.

“Sixers announce Andre Iguodala (achilles) will NOT play Sunday vs. Knicks. Listed as day-to-day. Nocioni (ankle) expected to play,” Levitan tweets.

It doesn’t seem to be a huge deal, but if Iguodala misses any significant amount of time, it could be a crushing blow to the 76ers title hopes this season. They would have to search the free agent market to find someone who could come in immediately and be maddeningly inconsistent while launching three-pointers they have no business taking.
