Report: Sources Refute Story About Jackson Being Distracted

Are DeSean Jackson’s contract problems becoming a distraction at the Nova Care Complex?  One report says yes while another report says no.

Jeff McLane of Philly.com reported that sources close to Jackson told him that the receiver is obsessed with getting a new contract to the point that it’s distracting him and affecting the football team. McLane wrote about Jackson texting his agent Drew Rosenhaus throughout the day.

Geoff Moesher of  DelawareOnline.com reported that two sources told him Jackson isn’t creating any disturbances. He went even further regarding the texting claim.  “A separate team source told The News Journal that he’s never seen or heard of Jackson texting Rosenhaus at the NovaCare Complex.”

Maybe we’ll do one of those investigations where we get a hold of Jackson’s phone and see what days and what times of the day, he texted Rosenhaus.

I think the Eagles need to hire some detectives and follow D-Jax everywhere he goes 24/7
and aslo put out a contract on Agent Drew Rosenhouse (and not a players contract if you know what I mean) This is getting ridiculous..

LOOK he’s young…. He’ll learn from his mistakes which is minor really…….. This guy is younger than half the guys in the league who handled there contract situations in a kid manor……….

GIVE HIM AN NEW CONTRACT………. I haven’t seen a guy more explosive in an Eagles uniform at WR…….. The guys only 24yrs. old……… He’s not a problem off the field……. So we should lock him in…… And let him and Maclin be our future dynamic duo………..

And why is it anyone’s business who he text……. Does the nfl have espionage that track every move these nfl players say or do on there personal time?????? Is it in there contracts that what ever they say or do on there PERSONAL time has to be let out to the public????????? Just makes you wonder??

If we even consider even letting him go or trade this guy…… Jerry Jones or Daniel Snyder are going to be licking there CHOPS…….. You cant let this guy go……. Seriously…….. He opens up more guys to produce more when he’s on the field…… But only if we play with “BALANCE” and stop getting guys heads knocked off passing on all three downs every time!!!!!! MY GOOOOODNESS!!!!!!!!!!

A 3 year Vet in the NFL is not young anymore Jroc757
The average career in th NFL last about 4.5 years, so he’s been around the block now.
He needs to focus on what he does on the field and make plays whenever he has the Opportunity
If he continues to play cautious and worries about his contract and/or worries about getting hit/hurt, then he becomes simply and average player with great speed, but not the game-breaker big play player that he should be and in turn will hurt his stock..
Watch tonigt if he’s aggressive running routes, going for the ball, trying to maximize yardage, fielding and running back punts instead of fair catches when he has room.. if we see this, then he’s fine..
If we don’t than the Eagles and he have problems moving forward…

He’s 24…thats young. And Jroc was reffering too his mental . I will say he has handled it like a pro. Some older guys in the league act like babies when it comes too contracts.Really? Wow…insightfull Paulman.Wtf makes you think any of that is news. And his speed and hands and crisp routes make him dynamic.it should be noted you listed a buncha bums yesterday you thought were better or comparible too 10.

Paulmans new nickname…Captain F’n Obvious.

I got one…the defense needs too watch the ball and not listen too the snap count on 3rd down!!!

I think Jackson got his bell rung and has heard footsteps (not that I blame him).

Until he suffered that second concussion, Jackson didn’t drop anything. But he’s had 3 TD drops in the last two games. One game is anomaly, but two games, I gotta explore other causes.

Further, I believe that because Reid “stepped into his world,” he’ll man up and start catching the rock.

Undoubtedly, he’s unhappy about his contract, but I think that’s been used as an excuse.

The 3-year vet thing. Does that include Kolb?

paulman
paulman
December 2, 2010 11:06 am

Not really on Kolb since he hasn’t seen the field or actually played that much in 3 + years has he…
D-Jax has started over 40+ games I beleve and Kolb what 6.. big difference, don’t you think…
D-Jax’s probably played in over 2,500 plays in his career while Kolb about 400 plays in a real NFL Game

Anyways, has anyone nontice that since D-Jax/Vick have been wearing those Gahngi/Bob Marley hats, their perfomances have slipped, wonder what’s going on with that…

Kolb doesn’t have even third of a season’s worth of actual regular game experience. Carrying a clipboard does not count for experience except during a backup’s salary negotiations. DJax has had game experience since Day 1 in league and an all-pro selection… he’s a “vet” even though still young in years. Just not sure he can survive physically in this league for 10yrs unless Goodell converts NFL to touch football.

They are all professionals but a player who has been a starter,a major contributor has a lot more to deal with a lot more on and off the field than a back-up players..
More media demands, more Eagle Organizaition trip,photo-ops, fund-raisers,etc,etc
Probably more meetings with Coaches and of course a lot more fan interaction since you are recognizable and everyone wants a piece of you.. less likely if you are back-up
To PW
Only white dudes with long hair look good in those Rafersterian Hats (Riley Cooper/Colt Anderson)
Kolb likes to wear his “Plaid Cap” which looks kind of feminine to me..
Who’s the Fashion Czar for the Eagles .. Mrs Lurie…

Just play man coverage…… Challenge every ball thrown…(Period) We know there corners aren’t all that great…… So no D. Ryan which helps us out a whole lot…….. Keep a safety deep…..(Period) Matt Schaub loves to test corners so we have to expect that…… Blitz Blitz Blitz……. But make sure you have a extra man to cover the flats(Beware of the Rb) We shall not and I mean shall be one dimensional…….. Be more balance and Excute on 1st and 2nd down to prevent 3rd and long conversions!!!! And please HELP Joselio Hason!!!!!!!! (My Keyshaw Voice)!!!!! In the redzone I wanna see two TE….. maclin and Riley cooper and avant….. IDK if Cooper’s playing…… But whatever…… He can be productive in that area of the field……. He can be a Matt Jones to this offense which is deadly…….. (Without the cocaine lol)

Keys too the game you cant front on:
Block Mario Williams(groin injury)..should be a good opp. for Peters too keep the good work up.

There secondary is horrid…worse then the Lions and Jags…so 400x+4td’s+Djax squared=W
Set the edge and make Foster cut inside…then punish him.Cold and grass are on our side.

sounds like Assante is out for tonite…not a real good sign for the defense, but regardless, I see a high scoring game from both teams…last one to score wins….the Texans have come back from big deficits this year, so don’t get too comfortable with a big lead… the difference will be which defense steps up and makes a stop…my money is on the Birds to step up!!!!

Typical crappy Philly media has to find a “bad guy” to villianize instead of covering the real problems with the team like a flawed offensive strategy. Now that Mcnabb is gone they need to find a new persons to crap on. no talent hacks.

Hey Drummer,
You are correct that I am not too familiar with Gospel music, though I come from a Music family and appreciate and respect all types of music and musicians. My Dad is a Bass player who is pretty well
known in the Philadelphia area and has played for mostly Jazz Artists over the years…
Sara Vaughn,Billy Eckstein,Buddy Rich, Maynard Ferguson, he used to play on the old Mike Douglas show in the house band when it was taped at the KYW Studios back in the 70’s, He’s played for Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee, Della Reese and even played on the Tom Jones Show House band back in the early 70’s.. He moved to Florida about 10 years ago and still plays and teaches and he will turn 79 Years young next week…
The only Gospel I can think of are groups like the Staples, Gladys Night..
Drummers, I like Ronnie Tutt, Steve Gadd, who are just in the backgorund keeping it grooving

To Greenfan,
You ruined my Christmas surprise present to my Family (Rotary Phone), we just traded in our
Dixie Cups and String … ha ha

honestly guys….. we all know there has to be a villan here in philly. Since the TO mess the media knows how to stir the pot. Dmac was the focus of much of the crap and now its Djax turn. Its crap,,,, dont buy in.
Everybody wants to get paid…. everyone thinks their underpaid. Djax actually is underpaid BUT… this is the deal he signed. Im fine with him hitting the deck before the hit comes. We need him on the field. There is a time and place to take the big hit but most of the time he has been smart with it. Its not JUST about the contract…. i think he would do it even with a big new deal. He wants to win and he knows he cant take every big hit.
