Report: Former Penn Stater Mike Munchak In Running For Titans Job

According to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, Titans owner Bud Adams wanted to get rid of head coach Jeff Fisher, but he didn’t want to spend all of that money buying him out, but he realized with the departure of defensive line coach Jim Washburn that they couldn’t attract good assistant coaches or free agents with a “lame duck” coach.

McClain thinks former Penn Stater and Hall of Fame offensive lineman Mike Munchak may be in line to become the Titans next head coach.   The Houston Chronicle writer expects Fisher to take a year or two off and work for the television networks.

Munchak played for Joe Paterno on some great Penn State teams back in the early 1990’s.
