What was Texas Rangers second baseman Ian Kinsler trying to say when he took a verbal shot at Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson and Eagles quarterback Michael Vick?
According to Richard Durrett of ESPNDallas.com Kinsler made the following statement as a way of expressing his confidence that his teammate Michael Young was going to honor his contract, come to training camp and play the season as a Texas Ranger.
“This isn’t DeSean Jackson or Michael Vick or Manny Ramirez,” Kinsler said. “Michael Young is a professional. It would be completely out of his personality not to be here.”
Clearly Kinsler is insinuating that Jackson, Vick and Ramirez aren’t professionals.
It isn’t a big deal, but the statement could and should have been avoided. Why is he making public statements about people he doesn’t even know very well?
Maybe Kinsler is feeling his oats because he and the Rangers have a “Joe Banner World Series Title”,

Kinsler knows that the Rangers went as far as Cliff Lee took them last year, so he is mad at Philly. It is to be expected.

I was and still am a big fan of the pittsburgh pirates when we had Bobby Bonillia, Barry Bonds (when he was skinny), Jack Morris, Tim Wakefield, Danny Neagle, Steve Cooke, Don Slaught, Jay Bell, Jeff King and Andy Van Slyke…… The Pirates just stopped spending on good players and since than have been terrible to even watch………. SMH……… I wish they will make moves to make them a threat in the national league…….. But we’ll be the Bad News Bears like we’ve been for the past 15years….LOL!!

They’ve been terrible through the years and I cant give up on them…… Watching the pirates play with “major league players”! is just commical through the years……LOL……. I think they should just shut the stadium down and build a team in Virginia my home town so we can have a professional team in VA………

But he treated every other team the same by pitching the same way he did against the Pirates…….. I’m a believer in Strausburg……. He’ll be one of the ELITE’s within the years!!!
