Former Phillie Brett Myers To Start Against Them In The Opener

Opening day for the Phillies will an interesting side not for Phils fans. Former Phillie hurler Brett Myers will be the opening day starter for the Astros against the Phils. Myers wanted to stay here with the Phils signed a two-year, $23 million dollar deal with Houston during the off season.

He had a good year last year with a 3.14 ERA and 14-8 win-loss record. He struckout 180 batters and walked only 66. Myers has struggled this spring in four starts, he’s got a 9.00 ERA.

You know Myers is going to pumped up to face Roy Halladay and the Phillies. He would like nothing better to pour some water on all of the talk about the Phils dominating starting rotation.

He was a controversial figure during his time here and never lived up to his talents although he was a key arm during their march to the 2008 World Series Title.

He got the nod over Wandy Rodriguez.

B Meyers will be pumped up for sure..Phils need to be patient at the plate
and not help him by swinging at his bad pitches out of the strike zone..
If they do this, they should knock him out by the 5th Inning en route to a
7-3 Opening Game Victory led by R Ibanaez 3 Run Homer

I hope the Phillies beat the hell out of him. This guy was a real crumb.
