Interest In Draft Still There As Eagles Sell Out Draft Party In Four Hours

This is going to be a very interesting draft for the Eagles because they’re currently in a position where they don’t know which players will be available when they draft. They’re sitting at the 23rd position and in need of help on the offensive line and at the cornerback position.

Will one of the offensive tackle be there at 23? Will they get a shot at Gabe Carimi, Nate Solder, Anthony Castonzo or Tyron Smith?

Will they grab a quarterback in the first three or four rounds of the draft if they get the chance to trade Kevin Kolb? I don’t think they were looking at Andy Dalton and Colin Kaepernick just to be going through the motion.

Will they get their hands on one of those marquee quarterbacks Patrick Peterson or Prince Amukamara?

Despite the current lockout, there’s still plenty of interest in what the Birds are going to do in the early rounds. There’s so much interest in fact, that the Eagles were able to sell out 6,500 draft party tickets in only four hours on Monday.

This is the 6th consecutive year that the Eagles were able to sell out their draft party at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Draft Party will take place on Thursday April 28th and the First round will start at 8pm that night.

The Eagles have 10 picks in the 2011 draft, the second highest total in the league. They have one pick in each of the first three rounds, two in the fourth and fifth rounds, and three in the seventh round.
