Vick Not Practicing, As Kafka and Young Take His Place

The Eagles have started their practice today at the Eagles Nova Care Complex and Michael Vick isn’t practicing. He doesn’t have a helmet on but both of his backups, Vince Young and Mike Kafka are wearing helmets and practicing with the team.

Eagles head coach Andy Reid and the team’s head trainer Rick Burkholder told us about two hours ago that Vick would only practice if he did very well in the exercising drills which Burkholder put him through after the news conference at noon.

The only thing that can be drawn from this is that Vick isn’t far enough along right now to get out there and practice.

Good Job G-Man,
Now the Giants know he won’t be playing ..
You need to post an article later on saying he was practicing and taking some reps..

he probably isnt practicing because he isnt done the tests yet… he needs to see a independent doctor before he is cleared to play…

seems they just let him walk thru and be involved in the gameplan while at the same time prepping the other guys just in case he has a setback…

Funny… NFL Radio and ESPN both said that Vick and Kafka split first team reps.

I misheard, it was a discussion of the walkthrough:

From ESPN:
“Although quarterback Michael Vick first will have to pass his concussion tests before being officially cleared, the Eagles believe he should be able to play Sunday against the New York Giants, a team source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Team sources told ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio that Vick split snaps with backup quarterback Mike Kafka with the first-team offense in Wednesday morning’s walkthrough.

“Kafka took the majority of them,” one senior offensive player told ESPN.”

Again, like I said, If these stupid bastards play him Sunday, they get what they deserve, when he gets another concussion! He in no way should be playing a week after a concussion, minor or not!!!
