DeSean Jackson Is Trying To Destroy His Career

DeSean Jackson is making a major mistake and cheating himself. He hung in there for three plus years and produced year after year. His circumstances were tougher then than they are now, because he’s not far from a big contract.

Now that he’s gotten close to getting a major pay day, he’s let his attitude go south along with his performance. Jackson’s questionable attitude is the reason that he was drafted in the second round and if he continues this foolish behavior, it will be the reason he never gets a big pay day.

This is exactly the opposite of what he should be doing. Now is the time when he should be showing other teams that he’s got strong character regardless of the circumstances. Now is when he could be helping himself make some major dollars.

He thinks he’s hurting the Eagles but he’s really hurting himself most of all.

Jackson’s attitude has just gotten very sour. That’s why he short-armed that pass last week over the middle with the game on the line. That’s one of the reasons he fumbled that ball on the punt return, then after the game, he had the emotionless look on his face as he answered questions after the game.

This is BULLSH!T. You got Asante ripping the front office, Avant ripping the fans for booing, Maclin costing the team game after game, the highest paid secondary doing jack n sh!t and they make an example out of the underpaid WR who was being a good little soldier all season even when his opportunities to do what he does best (go deep) have been reduced to playing decoy for the other players making twice as much as him (Maclin,Avant n Celek). DJack wasn’t being a distraction, wasn’t doing the T.O. in the media, not complaining and the eagles basically slap him in the face for missing a team meeting. I am so p!ssed with this decision I might not even watch todays game, of all the people who’ve not been help accountable for their poor play, this staff decides to make the guy playing by the rules a scapegoat. This is typical eagles, make the guy who wants a new contract seem like the bad guy, they’ll just draft a 6th round burner next draft and all of a sudden the deep ball will be apart of the gameplan again and DJack will go to another team and keep breaking records like he was before this year, before the underpaid guy on the last year of his contract asks for a new deal. How dare he

Another “Planting the Seed’ of making excuses for why the 2011 Season was a disasater from Coach Ar to President Banner and Oener Lurie..
Coach AR i beluivee is going to make examples of both D-Jax and A Samuel on what’s wrong with this team.. Too many egos, to little heart.. Lots of clamoring when things are going well, lots of silence and excuses when things get rough.. AR will blame this seasons falures of a few bad locker room players to save his job ..You can bet the house the Coach AR and Staff all return in 20012 but players like D-Jax/A Samuel/W Justice and others do not..
I even sensed in Coach AR Monday Press-Counference that he knows this Season is over and that he needs to find out who will go to ballte with him for 2012 and that they need to find out about some of the other players on the Roster..
Look at the King Dunlap move to starting LG this week.. Kind of unusual don’t you think, he is in a contract Season and they want to know if he can play the Interior.. Wouldn;’t you think withg Mathis out that the no-brainer move would be to slide Herreamns back to tlF and insert former Starter W Justice at RT.. This tells me that WJ is a goner also and that they want to find out how versatile Dunlap can be and maybe lock him up with a long-term deal sinec he can be that back-up OT or OG player which is very valuable to have (like Herreman’s is)

The Eagles are trying to devalue Desean so that they can make him a weak offer at the end of the year and when he declines the offer they act like they offered him what he was worth and make it look like he is a gready selfish player. This whole situation is a joke, the guy deserves to be paid by the Eagles.

Soo funny when I went to Buffalo a couple weeks back and there were say, 10,000 Eagles fans there. 95% wearing either #10 and #7. In my head I was thinking, “look at everyone celebrating the 2 biggest prima donnas on the team”

One down.

I doubt we’ll be seeing those jerseys at the end of the year.

Reid losing team. Derrick Gunn just reported multiple players missed or have been late to meetings this week. Not just Jackson. He also reported that DJax never had a contract offer even though he was grossly underpaid and kept quiet. Party is over. Most will post he should honor his contract. This is a different world which those rules dont apply. What did Banner expect? Not to even offer him a contract and for him to play good soldier all year for 600,000? Of course it has effected him all year. Now hes done. T.O. part 2. Funny how this only happens to the Eagles. Atleast Chicago offered Forte a contract.

Now you get a look at life without Jackson. Shady welcome to 8 in the box and “slow ass cant get open on the outside Avant and Cooper”, shiver shiver such fear they instill! Hey Maclin good luck aint nobody clearing shit out for you now. Arizonas defense stinks so you might be ok this week. Hopefully Jackson sits next week against the Giants. Let me know how you think that works out for us.

Dag, you say funny how this only happens to the eagles. Its funny how wrong that is. See the many examples, they’re everywhere. Or continue to ignore them, that’s what haters do.

I stated on another post is the 2 players the EAgles didn’t figure out what to do were D-Jax and Samuel, and since it appears they are not in the Future plans, both should have been moved before the Season.. It’s too late now and watch this 2001 Eagles Train Wreck continue… WHther they win Today is of little consequence for they are not making the Post-Season regardless and the Cancer in this Eagles Locker Room will continue to grow and spread for an ungle end of the Season.. I blame Coach AR and GM Roseman for all of this for it’s they who ultimately have decided the Roster make-up of this Team regradless of players Contract situations.. This mid-handling of these 2 Players who are obviously unhappy and unmotivated to remain Eagles is another error of Poor Roster Management of this Eagle Franchise.. Throw in an unhappy/embarrassed Ronnie Brown who they had to take back after Traded was voided with Detroit, Steve Smith (who wasn’t seeing any action the last few games and now will be needed with D-JAx implosion) Trent Cole is unhappy about Babin’s & Jenkin’s Deal and may be next on the chopping block.. LB J Chaney was thrown to learn OLB while they were trying to groom and unfit player in MAtthews at MLB which was a disasater, the jerking around of Safety Kurt Coleman whjo was benched for 2 games after the Giants loss only to be reinstated once Page was shown to be more ineffective and then injured..and it’s really no surprise from where I sit, that this team was going to have major issues… Other examples like Naming D WAtkins the Starting RG before he even took a snap at Summer Camp and on and on and on… W Justice not working out on his injured knee in the off-season since he was the Teams Players rep, so then once Camp comes around only to find out that he’s nohere close to being ready, The Eagles get mad and say screw him, keep Herreamns at RT and have 6’8 Dunlap play LG today while WJ sits doing nothing… Lots of lots f oissues in this Locker Room, Asmo is a bust and disallusioned, DCR doesn’t know what position he will pay from week to week and he definitely is not a slot Cover CB which is what they were hoping for.. he’s simply not physical enough… I see the Eagles beating the Cardinals,Dolphins,Redksins and possibly the Sehawks while dropping games to the better teams like the GIants,Patriots,Jets, & COwboys to finish their Season at 7-9.. Can’t wait to the Off-Season already..

I expect a huge game from DRC since hes returning back from to play his former team… and a huge one from vick… this could be a good rebound game for this team

drummerwinslow

This team is quite entertaining. Perhaps not on the field, but certainly in the media.

What’s next? None of us could even begin to guess. Who could have guessed which players the Eagles would have drafted? Who could have guessed who our defensive coordinator would be? Who could have guessed that our all-pro acquisitions would become overnight busts, simply because they are used in such a way that they had never been used before? I remember reading fans posting on ARC (Arizona newspaper) that DRC wasn’t a very good tackler. How did the fans know this, but not Reid? How?

It’s good to read on this site that many fans are sympathetic to Jackson. I’m beginning to feel that we some of the most knowledgeable fans in the league.

Jackson’s mere presence sets the table for everyone else on offense. No defense can play its normal defensive package when Jackson’s in the line-up. After that it’s up to the offensive coordinator to exploit the new weaknesses, not keep trying the same old play, game after game, year after year. Any one play can be stopped, and any one play can be stopped.

I posted 2 years ago that they should pay Jackson, just to have a happy locker-room. Throw him a bonus – no need to extend the contract – just throw him a pro-bowl bonus. How do you think he feels after watching so many newcomers earn big bucks (including rookies who can’t even get on the field)? It’s ridiculous. You treat people with respect, otherwise, they buck. It’s not rocket science.

Sure some of you make excuses, but let some newcomer start working with you and earn 10 times as much, see how you feel. Better yet, let some of them earn that money and not even have to work, because that’s what’s happening with Jackson, some don’t even play.

No other player in the history of the NFL was voted to two positions in the pro bowl during the same year. That alone, was worthy of a little love from the Birds.

Well said drummer. The guy avgs 45 yards a touchdown. Made the pro-bowl 2 years in a row. Is feared throughout the NFL but thats not good enough for us no superbowl ever eagle fans. WeH have something better in the wings. Out of all the other positions that SUCK on this team lets focus on one of our only pro bowler. Are you kidding me? This is the Eagles fans response to who will replace Jackson. Ummm I dont know anyone can. uhhuhuhuh

Who cares about D-Jax, it’s not like this Offense was doing anything Special against decent Defense’s anyways..
Cardinals CB Richard Marshall looks pretty good doesn’t.. He’s a CB who I was hoping the Eagles would go after (along with Carlos Rogers) instead of overpaying for no-fir Asmo or getting DCR in a trade but thats water under the proverbial Bridge, very little has gone right for this entire team since the Free-Agent Singing period came and went. Team is brutal to watch anymroe and Vick looks horribvle again as he did in that 4th quarter vs the Bears last week..
