Eagles Will Try To Not To Beat Themselves, Today

The Eagles will be playing against themselves this afternoon when they take on the Arizona Cardinals. They’re much more talented than the Cards, but this Eagles team has a way of giving games away with mistakes like no other Andy Reid-led team in the past.

They are a walking-talking turnover machine. It’s simple. If they don’t turn the ball over, they win. If they do turn it over they lose and they know it.

“You know, anytime you lose a game it’s because you make more mistakes than the opposition”, Michael Vick said on Friday. “And I think if we limit that and are able to control that, then we give ourselves a chance of winning the game and staying in the ballgame throughout the entire game.

Many times, teams lose games because they’re not as good as their opponents. That doesn’t happen to the Eagles very much. Usually they lose because they give the game to the other team.

Maybe today they will decide to protect the football. I don’t know how many times they need to lose games before they decide to play the game the way they’re supposed to do. When you catch the football, put it away. As a quarterback, don’t take chances with the football.

Vick must make better decisions when he throws the football and his receivers must catch it and put it away. Think about how many games have been cost this year because of Vick turning the ball over or the receiver not hanging onto the football.

Still when the wide receivers are asked about it, you get the nonchalant attitudes from DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin. This is a cocky 3-5 football team, which still believes their talent can make up for the mistakes. I wonder how long it will take for them to realize that talent isn’t enough.

if they lose to the Cardinals and John Skelton, then fire the entire staff….
this team is too inconsistent and when they run the ball 20+ times with Shady they are unbeatable….. last week they ran him 16 times…
Desean is going to be traded after the season….can see it now…

D-Jackson is inactive for todays game due to missing Saturday’s Special Teams Practice as been reported bty ESPN…WR’s Steve Smith & Riley Cooper will see a lot more snaps today and Eagles need to find out if either or both fit their future plans for it appears that D-Jax does not.. Let’s go Eagles, the team is bigger than any one player..

D-JAx will be a Free-Agent jott1972, and can’t be traded..
He is either Franchised (which I doubt), Signed to a new deal with the Eagles (which I doubt) or he makes a New Deal with a New Team (which I expect)

Not as easy as it sounds Jott1972
A Sign and Trade is very difficult to accomplish to have other teams accept whatever conditions you agree too with the Player.. Length of Deal, Bonus and Roster Contracts come into effect.. Remember, that you cannot trade a player under a Franchise Tag, you have to have a deal in place and then trade that player to a team willing to take on thise condition…
I don’t believe the Eagles will place a Franchise Tag for the Eagles fearing of getting stuck with him in 2012 and have to pay him a ridiculous $$$, Sometimes when you place that tag on a player, the player and his agent are not in a rush to make a long term deal .. D-Jax would get around $12 for 2012 if Eagles were to Franchise him so why should he and his agent make a deal for $6-$7-$8 over a 3-4 Year Deal knowing they van make $12 in 2012 and then still become a free-agent again after the 2012 Season..
If a team is not 100% committed to signing that particular player to a long-term deal than it’s just plain bad business to slap a franchise tag.. If the Eagles don’t feel strtongly enough for him by now to have locked hime up with a long term deal, I doubt very much they will come to that conclusion after this Season and especially now with teh Team Struggling, D-Jax Struggling and now with this in effect a 1 game Suspension for failing to follow Team rules..
Deciding on locking a player for $40-$50-$60 Million long-termt on a players that you are just not sure about surely outweighs of not getting a 2nd Rounder or player in Return for a D-Jax trade.. “Franchise Tag” is exactly that, a player you feel is a big part of your future plans that you really can’t do without having ..(a QB, LT, DE, a CB perhaps). I don’t believe WR D Jax is anywhere near that category of a player that the Eagles feel like they have to have him.. WR’s in Coach AR’s System are a dime a dozen, and the Eagles Coach Ar/GM feel their Offense and Team could definitely move on withouth him… D-Jax is a goner as is A Samuel and VY, R Brown, J Parker, J Jackson,J Page , A Jordan,O Schmitt, and possibly M Fokou after this Season.. They have the next couple of weeks to decide if WR Steve Smith figures in their future plans.. I am curious to see waht he can bring to the table and should be very productive in the slot role, then have Maclin and Copper split out Wide… Maclin or Cooper can take over some of the Deep Routes that D-Jax would do and though they are not as fast as D-Jax, can still effective and more so in the intermediate/crossing routes and Red-Zone plays that D-JAx just cannot do due his lack of size and willingness to do..

Maybe have Vince Young come in for a series, Vick looks like a damn zombie out there (like he did in that fateful 4th quarter, where the 2011 Season was lost for good, last week versus the Bears)
I’ve never seen a black zombie before… this is getting ridiculous ..

Its funny how the media always finds negatives in what the eagles do.. Its so weird. Alot of it is because there not neutral, some played for the giants and cowboys and other rival teams so they try to identify any negatives…

What kind of defense is the birds playing today? Man? Zone? Man and zone? Its weird how they allow alot for simple passes over the middle consistently

Most of it Jon is brought on by the Eagles themselves with ther cockiness and arrogance, which stems from the Top from ownership/Front Office to the HC right on down to the players Players… People like to see arrogance and over-hyped Teams fall from Glory… See the Miami Heat and Penn State Nittany Lions as perfect examples, the Yankees and the Red Sox this Season, the Cowboys from last Season.. Teams that choke or end up with Train Wreck Seasonsk make much more interesting stories than justr a plain bad team with no talent….

Almost forgot
The Eagles Defensive Scheme is called the “Castillo Shuffle” where players are in and out playing different positions and require different steps and coverages on almost every play.. The “Castillo Shuffle” is quite popular in Mexico in the Disco’s & Dance Clubs South of the Boarder..

This team is soft… I hate the way they fold up every 4th qtr… they didnt look ready to play at all today…

I hate the way they carry themselves… they dont look focused…

they come out looking like they arent even really paying attention out there…

*Vick looked terrible
*Maclin got hurt and I didnt even care because he’s soft
*playcalling was pathetic as usual on Offense and defense

Im tired of watching this BS every wknd….

I wonder if Jason Avant is still mad at the fans for booing the team…

Well the good thing is that I won’t be wasting anymore Sundays watching these clowns, and will now have free Sundays to get ready for the upcoming Holidays.. I can’t recall of being so disinterested in a Eagle Team as I have been of this 2011 Team.. I am tired of them and everything about this team from it’s Front Office,Coaching Staff to many of it’s Players…

This is the first game this season I didn’t watch and I’m glad I didn’t. These players are going through the motions. The Super Bowl has never been farther out of reach for this pathetic organization, coaching staff and assembly of players. Did Reid say he has to do a better job again?

BigE, don’t worry, he’ll blame the fans, & call us bandwagon fan’s. Way to play for your coach. Reid has officially lost this team. I’ll say it again for the umpteenth time, Reid has to be fired with everyone in the entire staff, & FO. I probably won’t watch another game this year. Probably!?
