Three Philadelphia Eagles earned spots on the NFC roster of the 2011 Pro Bowl and they weren’t surprises. The three Eagles are ;running back LeSean McCoy who is leading the league in touchdowns with (20) and rushing touchdowns (17); defensive end, Jason Babin who ranks second in the NFL with a career high 18 sacks and the guy considered to be the best offensive tackle in the NFL, Jason Peters.
Babin has been outstanding in leading the Eagles pass-rush which leads the NFL with 49 sacks. This is the second time that Babin has been named to the Pro Bowl.
McCoy has become the first Eagles ever to score a touchdown in nine straight games. He has amassed 1309 rushing yards which ranks second in the NFL to Maurice Jones-Drew (1,437). He leads the league with 102 first downs and 48 rushes of 10-plus yards.
Peters is a flat out stud at the left tackle position. He has the ability to do it all at the offensive tackle spot. He can pull, cut block, drive block and get out in front of screens and draws.
No Surprises here for all 3 players has outstanding Seasons…
Disappointments missing from the list would be Vick,D-Jax,Cole,Asmo and Samuel and when we look back at this 2011 Underperforming Eagle Team and Season, most of the real blame in my opinion lies at the feet of the 4-5 players I just listed as opposed to the Coaching Staff… Playmakers make plays and simply put– Vick,D-Jax, Cole, Asmo & Samuel obviously did not make enough of them consistently to stand out and to help their team…
