Tonight, The Eagles Should Feed LeSean McCoy The Football

LeSeanMcCoy4Even though the Cowboys beat the Redskins this afternoon, Chip Kelly will play to win tonight and that means going with his starters, Nick Foles, LeSean McCoy and the rest of the gang.  You could understand the Birds doing everything they can to maintain possession of the football to keep it away from one of the league’s most prolific offenses.

Tonight, I want the Birds to run the ball quite a bit against a Chicago Bears defense  that can’t stop the run.  On an average, they’re giving up 152 yards per game.

McCoy, the NFL rushing leader only carried the ball eight times versus the Vikings, but I think he could end up carrying the ball eight times in the first quarter the Birds game against the Bears.  McCoy wants the football.

“I feel like this game, I’ve got to put the offense on my back,” McCoy said on ESPN.com. “I want to roll. I feel like myself and the big guys up front — we’ve got to put this game on our back and take care of business and get a win.”

Give him the ball and let him dominate this game.  If the Bears try to bring one of the safeties into the box, the Birds should throw the football.  Still I want to see them start the game running the ball.

The big guys upfront on the Eagles offensive line must enforce their will on the Chicago defensive front, by coming off the line of scrimmage and pounding the defensive linemen with double team blocks, then coming off on the linebackers at the second level.  I want to see the Eagles offensive line pound with those double team blocks like they did against the Lions.

I want to see the Birds use the double team blocks to take over the last two games of the season, starting with the game tonight against the Bears.

McCoy, who is leading the league in rushing with 1343 yards told everyone he wants the football and the Birds should give it to him.

The Birds need a dominating performance from McCoy and his offensive line.  Something like 200 plus yards on the ground with three touchdowns would be what the doctor ordered for the Eagles offense and defense.  Once they get things going on the ground, it will open up the passing game and making things easier for Nick Foles and his receivers.

I know Kelly doesn’t put a lot of value in time of possession, but I would like to see the Birds control the tempo of the game with McCoy putting up big yardage on the ground.

Bears have more to play for so I think that gives them the edge here.

With that said as long as Foles isn’t pasing it 48x a game and Shady only touching it 8 we should be fine. As I said earlier, the only question is which defense shows up – 21 pts a game or 31 pts a game.

Shady should be on the sidelines with the other high quality starters. Seeding isn’t as important as the ACLs are for Shady/Foles/Djax etc.

Play the scrubs. Vick/Barkley, Barbre, Johnson, Polk, Brown etc

Eagles making mincemeat of the Bears first half: Only reason Chicago got a field goal was a bad spot…But, still 30 minutes to go…Sports books love it!

So glad to see that the Eagles are not taking the Bears lightly or looking at this as being a meaningless game. They are sending a message to the rest of the League. They are in it to win it!!! Go Eagles!!!

The way our D is shutting down this potent O shows that last week was just a hiccup, they definitely overlooked the Vikes.

This is 2 out of the last 3 games we rushed for over 200 yards, I thought we couldn’t run with Foles in there?

Vick getting some playing time: Hands off to Bryce Brown for a 67 yard TD…I really like Brown so good for him.

Powerful game by the Defense….for them to shut down the 2nd ranked Offensive in the NFL is truly amazing. Chip Kelly is a tremendous coach…he deployed Shady and DJax and overwhelmed Chicago’s defense. Shady McCoy is the best running back in the League!

Moving forward it’s only about the defense. They show up against Dallas it’s as good as a wrap.

No it’s not retard. You gotta outscore the opponent to win so really best offense wins. Beat it jackass
