DeSean Jackson Headed To The Pro Bowl

DeSeanJackson1Eagles diminutive and speedy wide receiver DeSean Jackson will be making a trip to Hawaii for next Sunday’s Pro Bowl.  Jackson was a second alternate and got the nod after Houston Texans veteran wide out Andre Johnson decided to pass on the game.

Jackson had a Pro Bowl year in 2013, as he had career highs in receptions, 82,  yardage, 1332, and touchdowns, 9.  Chip Kelly should be given credit for finding ways to make Jackson a more effective red zone receiver by putting him in situations near the goal line where he can use his speed and quickness.

Jackson averaged a little over 16 yards per catch as he developed a good chemistry with Eagles, quarterback Nick Foles.

I read a article about 2 weeks ago “which I cant find now, sorry”,where someone who was close to Chip Kelly at Oregon had said if Chip Kelly ever made it to the NFL he would never spend a lot of cap dollars on his offense because he believed in his system and that he could plug players in it and make them successful. That if he ever went to the NFL his cap dollars would go to the defense.I guess we will find out.

Good. Now his value is at its highest and we can trade his drama queen diva butt for WR value or pics. He’s limited due to size, greedy and his mouth is bigger than his body.

Be prepared for disapppointment. DJAX is not going anywhere. His production is not limited, and hey…isn’t making as much money as you can the American way. He wants his $ guaranteed, I don’t see a problem with that. The way some people on here is quite Diva-ish.

For the last time… D-Jax is not going anywhere ..
He’s an important part of the offense and figures prominently in
Chip Kelly’s System and just put up Career #’s in 2013..
And besides, with his Contract which owes him $34.5 Million
Over the next 3 Seasons, which Team would be interested or able to afford that and give up High Draft Picks on top of that..
That’s right, no one.. which is why you see very few trades
With Players in their primes with a big contract rarely dealt..
At least when a Team signs a Free-Agent to a big deal, they aren’t giving up any Valuable High Draft Picks to do so…

Jim, Can you name some Teams who would pay D-Jax his $34.5 Million due
And a couple of High Draft Picks in Return..
Look around the NFL most Teams do not have much Cap Space going into this Off-Season… (Until they start releasing Players)

Jimmy, You will receive full congrats if you get this right. I hope you’re not getting this info or opininion from Howard Eskin who talks about Desesan being traded every time something happens with DJAX. I think Kelly has no interest in the off field stuff as long as it doesn’t hurt the team. I know Roseman still appreciates Desean’s production and his skill. The Eagles would not be able to get value for a trade with Jackson. His production value is first round, however, they wouldn’t be able to get more than a fourth round pick for him. That’s cutting off your nose off to spite your face. I just don’t see Chip or Howie cutting off their nose to spite their face or putting themselves in a position to have to fill in a created whole. Let me ask you, who would you trade him for, team, player or picks? (please be specific)

This guy did…prove me wrong…you can’t though because you are not in a position to. Like I told JimChunk, if I’m proven wrong, I will give you credit, will you man up and do the same if I’m correct? It’s all moot though because he is not being traded!
