Last week was a rough one as fantasy football owners lost players both to injury and suspension. Peterson is out indefinitely, the status of studs like Charles and Green will be a game time decision. Owners felt great about Moreno, and now have a void in their running back depth. A ton of WR 2’s will be questionable for this week, ranging from Jeffrey, D-Jax(more of a WR 3) and Patterson. Waiver wire additions have been the go to for owners all week, and the questionable matchups as for a “must win” week 3 for owners sitting at 0-2, it’s time to start the guys with matchups, and avoid starting on “name” alone.
QB
Bench’em– The only real stud QB with a tough matchup is Peyton. In his career, teams that have embarrassed him like the Seahawks in the Super Bowl last season, he rebounds quite nicely. Issue that I have, he is on the road against a tea that is incredible at home and coming off a loss. It’s hard to bench arguably the #1 QB in fantasy football, but it’s worth consideration is you have a backup with a nice start.
Trust’em– Tom Brady (after two not so great showings to start the season, he will reward owners who waited until the later rounds to draft their Qb) Rivers- Not the same guy on the road, but I really like the Chargers to take it to the Bills this week, and without the injured Ryan Mathews, Rivers will rack up top 5 QB numbers for the week.
RB
Bench’em– Montee Ball, Terrence West, Matt Asiata, Toby Gerhardt
Trust’em-Lamar Miller, Jeremy Hill, Donald Brown
WR
Bench’em-Fitzgerald, Michael Floyd, James Jones, K. Wright
Trust’em- Maclin, Cooks. T. Williams, G. Tate
TE
Bench’em- Kyle Rudolph, D. Walker, J. Witten
Trust’em– D. Pitta, A. Gates, M. Bennett
DEF/ST
Play of the week: Saints
2 nice Waiver Pick-ups for me came thru big time this Week
1) QB K Cousins – Redskins (27 Pts)
2) RB Kniles Davis -Chiefs (17 Pts)
3) WR Allen Hurns – Jags (12 Pts)
I am back in the hunt after a lousy start the first 2 Weeks…
