Thursday Night Football Pick

Tom BradyNew York Jets @ New England

The Jets season is playing out pretty much how I initially expected.

The had a layup on Opening Day against the Raiders, but they’ve been completely outclassed by all of their opponents in the following weeks. Geno Smith has been overwhelmed and is among the league leaders in turnovers. The once proud New York defense has been obliterated week to week.

The franchise is a sinking ship, and Rex Ryan is going down with it.

The Patriots have awoken from their early season funk, and come through with two impressive wins over the Bengals and Bills the last two weeks. I expect them to keep that going at home, and this game has all the ingredients necessary for another Thursday Night Massacre.

Pick: New England 34, New York 13

I wonder if Mike Vick will wear a green jet baseball cap or a white jet baseball cap. Last week Mike Vick had breast cancer pink in the Jet’s logo on his baseball cap.

Whichever one it is, it’ll have a dead flat brim, and be tilted off to the side,….juuuuuuust so…..

Jerod Mayo out for year on IR and Donte Hightower questionable for tonight. GMCliff’s defensive end turned weakside 4-3 linebacker Jamie Collins will have to become the vocal defensive leader if Hightower is a no go, LOL. I like the jets to win tonight, without Hightower and Mayo they are going to get destroyed( 31 Jets – 14 Pats) . If Hightower plays then I like the Jets 24 – 21. That Jet defensive line is too good for New England and I think they might hurt Brady. GMCliff’s guy Sheldon Richardson and Mohammed Wilkerson are to notch.

Mike Vick sighting — Geno had to miss one play due to injury and Mike Vick gained 6 yards on a designed QB run, exciting. Then on a trick play Mike Vick was lined up as a running back and Geno handed him the football. Mike Vick appeared ready to throw the ball but was tackled behind the line of scrimmage. A flag on the field during the trick play was thrown for secondary holding, so Mike Vick was involved in a first down ( exciting !!)

Jamie Collins stinks – if he isn’t hurt then he is a bad football player. Teams run the football right at him. The Jets put up over 200 yards rushing. Jamie Collins had 13 tackles but not after giving up first down after first down at a five yard clip.

LB Collins needs to strengthen up and cannot take blockers straight on..
He did make alot of Tackles but 10 of those came 6-7-8-10 Yards down the field.. Like GMCliff likes to say . Jaime Collins is just not all that…

many thought Casey Matthews would play like that when inserted into the lineup ( like Jamie Collins plays) but Matthews isn’t getting dominated like Jamie Collins is
