Stand Your Ground Howie Roseman!!!

Bradford,Pederson &Roseman3Yes.  STAND YOUR GROUND HOWIE ROSEMAN.  Sam Bradford is letting you know that you made the right decision.  The Eagles need a fighter leading this team.  He doesn’t want to take on the challenge of having a potentially outstanding talent like Carson Wentz in back of him in the lineup.

The person we need leading this football team would enthusiastically accept this challenge.  In fact, this challenge would make a great player even better.

We didn’t know Sam Bradford very well. but now we see that he’s all about Sam Bradford being for Sam Bradford, but he wants his teammates to commit themselves to the team.  What about your teammates Sam Bradford?  I think Bradford’s number one teammate is his agent Tom Condon.  Bradford should tell Condon to step back and be quiet because he, Bradford wants to take on this challenge.

I don’t have a problem with a player getting as much money as he can get, but I do have a problem with a guy, who has made millions and millions without ever delivering anything, deciding to run away scared when he is finally faced with a challenge of competing, stepping up and performing.

Don’t run away from this challenge, Sam.  Take it on like the leader of a winning team.  You’re telling the entire league that you shouldn’t have been drafted with the first pick.  You’re telling everybody that you’re not worth trading for.  You’re exposing your lack of competitiveness and toughness.

This team needs to get tougher both mentally and physically.

I say STAND YOUR GROUND HOWIE ROSEMAN!!!

The Eagles organization doesn’t need to do anything.  Bradford is under contract and they currently have him in the starting quarterback position.  Don’t let Condon scare you into trading him.  The only way you trade Bradford is if you get an offer that is too good to turn down.

STAND YOUR GROUND HOWIE ROSEMAN because your job is to improve this football team and that’s what you have been doing this offseason.

This situation that the team is in right now with Bradford is improving this football team.  Again, this team needs to get tougher both physically and mentally.  They need to get more of that DOG in them.  That starts with the leader.  You can’t go into battle with a leader who is unwilling to take on a challenge.  The NFL is not for the faint of heart!!!

Being a winning team in the NFL is about production on the field.  Contracts have a role, but they are secondary to a group of men committing themselves to each other and taking on a challenge.

I was of the understanding that Bradford had committed himself to his teammates that he was going to take on the challenge this year as a Philadelphia Eagle.  Now because it looks like the Eagles are going to draft a potentially outstanding quarterback to back him up, he is now pulling out.

Would other team leaders like Fletcher Cox or Malcolm Jenkins have demanded to be traded because the Eagles drafted a potentially outstanding player to back them up?

Everybody else on the team has to compete.  Why can’t you, Sam Bradford?

Why do you have to have a guaranteed starting job for the foreseeable future?  If you’re as good as your supporters think you are then you need to step up to the challenge.  The fact that you’re not comfortable stepping up to the challenge tells us all we need to know about you.

So once again, STAND YOUR GROUND HOWIE ROSEMAN!!!

not the Chipper’s QB anymore – Howie and Jeffery both decided to give Sam Bradford 22 million more after they fired the Chipper. He is your boy now Jeffery and Howie and whoever else collaborated in giving Sam Bradford 22 million more.
Kaboom !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sam Bradford is imploding right in your both your faces.
can’t wait to see Vinny Curry ” Starter” in 2016. Have a feeling this Bradford signing isn’t going to be the only bomb imploding from this off season Howie party.

There’s no implosion… Nothing Sam Bradford can do can have the slightest effect on the future of the Philadelphia Eagles…

That’s exactly what Sam is crying about… He is irrelevant, and he is toothless.

locker room chatter? nah, every man in that locker room as new COMPETITION …regardless of position- every year there are 90 guys in camp for 53 spots–
Sam SIGNED a contract– a lucrative contract– he isn’t holding out because he doesn’t have a deal– he got a more than a fair contract– shut up–
there is no locker room controversy– this is nothing.

Howie has one of his knives in back of Bradford and is about to insert his other knife into Fletcher Cox and his agent Todd France’s backs. Then have the media vilify Bradford, Condon, Cox and France.
Hey Bennie Logan, Howie has media plan to dirty your name too.

Good Article G-Man….
I would like to see Howie Trade this Sorry Ass of a Professional Athlete just to end the Distractions and start the OTA’s/Summer Camp with a Clean Slate of Players who want to be Philadelphia Eagles and Commit to each other which Sam Bradford has proven that he doesn’t want to or is incapable of, as he’s has been ‘Coddled” by his Agent Tom Condon since being Drafted 6 Years Ago and is too far distorted from reality of what it means to compete and be a leader…..
Its time to completely move on from this Bum….
My Surprise Team who may be interested is the Buffalo Bills…
We will have to wait to until after Friday Night (the first 3 Rounds) and see what Teams were unable to upgrade their QB Positions thru the Draft before any real Market for Sam Bradford emerges.. The Eagles could also wait until Summer and hope a Team sustains an Injury at the QB where maybe they can get more in return but to be honest, I am not sure its worth the distractions of keeping this Puss around… I would could the chord and get rid of him, even at the expense of eating his Bonus $$$ and getting nothing in the return.. The Eagles have done so many positive things this entire off-season and now with the upcoming Draft, OTA’s,Summer Camp, Pre-Season upon us all with a New, Energized Coaching Staff, the last thing this Organization needs is a “Debbie Downer” dragging everyone back
By Monday, Sam Bradford Needs to be Gone one way or the other…

I was watching Comcast show yesterday and local Columnist Zack Berman said the Eagles will pay Sam Bradford a total of 11 million in bonuses around july making a trading partner only on the hook for 7 million for 2016 to have Bradford on their roster. Probably easier to unload Bradford in July.

well zack berman is wrong. that 11 mill check has already been cut. and he is not going to be traded (if he is at all) after 6/1. any trade before 6/1 counts 11 mill against the cap this year and 0 next year. a trade after 6/1 counts 5.5 this year and 5.5 next year. would make no sense to absorb that cap hit for next year

however, howie isnt trading the guy. he said he wont trade him, doubled down, tripled down yesterday to the media, then quadrupled down by denying sams agent permission to seek a a new team for him. eagles arent trading a well paid qb for a 4th, theyre just not as it makes no sense. howie knows sam is a quiet mouse with no emotions, he wont be a cancer, he will just sit there all year be a highly paid scapegoat and thats that. its not in this pussys makeup to become a distratction as hes just there…

we will talk about it and debate it all offseason but unless we get a 2nd or better for him, he isnt going anywhere. howie is gonna pray this bust shows up and uses his skillset and does something significant this year so he can cash his ass in next offseason and hopefully get his 2017 1st back or 2018 2nd back. smart move imo… a 4th does nothing for you… hold them cards howie and dont show them until sam plays himself out of the league or some chip kelly type donkey pays up

*********HOT TAKE ALERT***********

By Jimmy Kempski
PhillyVoice Staff

On Monday, a report emerged that Sam Bradford wanted to be traded and would not be showing up for any more offseason programs. His stance was in response to the Eagles trading up to the No. 2-overall pick, where they are going to select a quarterback.

Later in the day, Tom Condon, the agent for Sam Bradford, appeared on SiriusXM radio and talked for four-plus minutes about the situation. The audio is here:

Condon: “Sam Bradford is a terrific young man, and obviously very talented.”

He was obviously very talented at the college level, which was a long time ago.

Condon: “He was the first pick in the draft, and his Pro Day was the finest I’ve ever seen in terms of accuracy.”

He was the first pick in the draft six years and three days ago. He has a grand total of 25 wins in the NFL, or just over four per season. Jamarcus Russell was the No. 1 overall pick once upon a time as well. At what point does draft position become irrelevant when we’ve had six years to determine what a player really is in the NFL?

And Pro Day?!?!? PRO DAY?!?!? (In Allen Iverson voice)… We talkin’ ’bout Pro Days now?

Condon: “He’s a serious guy and he takes all of this very seriously. He’s very competitive, he’s very bright. He works really hard, and he’s a good, honest tough guy.”

He may be serious, bright, and a hard worker, but he sure as hell isn’t competitive if he’s asking to be traded rather than compete with a Division I-AA kid from North Dakota State.

Condon: “He was excited about signing back with Philadelphia and the contract was, I think, pretty good for him.”

Well, sure, Tom Condon negotiated Bradford’s contract. Of course he thinks it’s good. Somehow, he didn’t foresee the Eagles seeking out a long-term solution at quarterback after he essentially agreed to a one-year deal.

Condon: “And then Chase [Daniel] came on, and they paid him a substantial amount of money to be on the roster as well.”

Wait… What? Is Condon upset that the Eagles also signed Chase freaking Daniel, an undrafted career backup?

Condon: “And I don’t think that anybody foresaw the [trade up to] second pick in the [NFL] Draft which we anticipate, obviously, to be a quarterback.”

How can a mega-agent not foresee that when any minimally savvy fan could see it as a possibility clear as day?

Condon: “So I think from that situation Sam’s only been in the league for six years, and he wants to go some place and be there and know he’s going to stay as long as he plays well.”

ONLY six years? Only 10 players on the Eagles’ roster have been in the league longer.

Condon: “His situation now in Philadelphia is different. It’s one of those things where I completely understand from where Howie [Roseman’s] standpoint and the Philadelphia Eagles, they signed Sam and they had no idea they were going to come up and get the second pick in the draft and to have that be a quarterback. Even being able to sign Chase, certainly not sure of that when they signed Sam.”

Yeah, I think the Eagles had an idea of what they wanted to do, and any competent agent signing their client to essentially a one-year deal should have easily recognized that as well.

Condon: “But nevertheless, none of this is personal, it’s just business.”

And if the Eagles don’t trade Bradford, Howie will be swimming with the fishes.

Condon: “And so from our perspective it is that Sam wants the opportunity to try to go some place and not only be the starter but be the starter there long-term. There’s a couple of things that go along with this. If you’re on a two year contract and the second pick in the draft is behind you, then you better really play well because you’re going to hear it from the fans if you don’t. You better play well or your teammates are going to look at you sideways and wonder about when the next guy is going to step in.”

You mean NFL fans expect their quarterback to play well, and if he doesn’t, they get upset? Tell me more, Tom.

A list of quarterbacks who have been backups to Bradford over the course of his career: A.J. Feeley, Kellen Clemens, Tom Brandstater, Brady Quinn, Austin Davis, Shaun Hill, Mark Sanchez, and Thad Lewis. Your teammates, as well as the fan base certainly aren’t going to wonder when it’s “Brandstater time” if you falter.

Bradford has benefited from a lack of quality competition at his position for the entirety of his six years in the NFL. At the first sign of legitimate adversity in that regard, he’s wants to be traded to a team where he won’t be pushed.

Condon: “I think from that standpoint too it’s that the other players understand you’re a short-term guy. And you’re going to be out of there even if you play well because you can hopefully be traded or something like that before you contract expires. Sam would like to forego all of that.”

This is the only semi-reasonable point Condon made throughout his interview. It should have been the only thing he said.

Condon: “From this standpoint the ideal situation is that, he understands he’s under contract [with Philadelphia] for two years, but the offseason program is voluntary and he can certainly make his wishes known with regard to wanting to go some place else and set up and be there for the rest of his career.”

Bradford signed his contract 55 days ago, and was already paid $5.5 million dollars. That money is already in his bank account. Where can I be bad at my job for six years, get paid, and then say, “Nah, I’m just gonna sit this out.”

Condon: Sam’s a competitor and he wants to go some place that he’s the man.

Clearly, Sam Bradford is anything but a competitor, and no matter where he goes, he will never be “the man.”

Condon: “He just doesn’t want to be there holding a place card and then wondering where he’s going to go at the end of the year. He’d like to go some place where he can participate and play.”

He’d like to go some place where he isn’t challenged.

Condon: “Last year, he was coming off of the ACL two years in a row, he got through the 14 games and his stats over those 14 games put him in about the middle of the starters.”

The middle of the starters? Really? Here is where Bradford’s numbers ranked last season:
Sam Bradford Stat Rank
QB rating 86.4 26
YPA 7.0 25
TD passes 19 T-22
Completion percentage 65.0% 11

And the only reason Bradford’s completion percentage was a little above average was because the vast majority of his completions were short throws. On the whole last season, Sam Bradford was very clearly a below average quarterback.

Condon: “If you look at the second half of those 14 games, in the last seven, he was in the top eight or so.”

Oh my God, here we go with this “last seven games” crap again. Allow me to be crystal clear — Sam Bradford’s last seven games, while certainly better than his first seven games, were not impressive. We even published a children’s book about it.

Condon: “And as he got closer to the finish, in his last three games his statistics were really pretty very remarkable.”

If by “remarkable,” you mean that he put up inflated stats in garbage time blowout losses to the Cardinals and Redskins, followed by a meaningless Week 17 game against the third-worst defense in NFL history, then sure, they were “remarkable.”

Condon: “He doesn’t view himself as somebody who is a stop-gap kind of quarterback and he wants to go some place and take a chance on being with a team for a long time and I can’t blame him for that.”

Then maybe you shouldn’t have signed him to essentially a one-year deal before free agency even began.

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA THIS IS AMAZING

‘Oh, the Places You’ll Throw,’ a children’s book about Sam Bradford
Eagles NFL Philadelphia Sam Bradford
By Jimmy Kempski
PhillyVoice Staff

On one fine day in March, Chip called up the Rams.

A trade was commenced, the green Iggles had Sam.

Oh, the places you’ll throw. The fans surely won’t boo.

Even if the steep cost was Nick Foles and a two.

fter losing to Dallas, the Falcons and D.C.,

Sam Bradford’s detractors delighted with glee.

The year started badly, would Sam hit the dust?

No! His first seven games were a product of “rust!”

After slaying the Cowboys, Sleevie Wonder had juice.

But then the lowly Dolphins inflicted abuse.

Sam was concussed, and separated his shoulder,

For the third straight year he would need a place-holder

A 4-and-5 record meant strife in the franchise.

With Sam on the mend it was time for the Sanchise!

The Eagles’ next foe was the lowly Buccaneers,

But they lost by a lot, leading to scowls and jeers.

“Please let Sam be better,” Chip would hope and pray.

But Sam’s limbs were made of papier-mâché.

His ailing shoulder hurt his quality of living.

So he sat home and watched his team lose on Thanksgiving.

The season seemed over, but Sam took the controls,

They beat the mighty Pats, with the great Darren Sproles.

Sproles and the defense did most of the scoring,

Sam did next to nothing — Effective but boring.

After beating the Pats as well as Tom Brady,

The Eagles came home to play their friend Shady.

The Bills game was slow and easy to miss,

So I’ll just move on and distract you with this:

Having won two straight games, the Eagles felt sporty,

Until they got pummeled, 17-to-40.

The Cards treated Philly like their private doormats,

Sam took the defeat but at least he had stats!

The Birds were bad against WASTEAM and surely that hurts.

But that doesn’t excuse the missed throw to Zach Ertz.

Late in the game fans left by the dozens,

The nail in the coffin, outplayed by Kirk Cousins.

The season was over, what a terrible shame.

And Sam saved his best for a meaningless game.

He lit up the Giants, a man on a mission,

To go out and ruin their draft position.

Mediocre QBs can make that big money,

But $20 million dollars is nothing but funny.

Perhaps in the future, Sam can “win the day!”

Chip is awaiting, so get on your way!

Are you kidding me…you too G!

All of this bull crap and nonsense makes absolutely no sense

Howie Roseman should have had a deal in place to trade Sam’s ass outta here the moment we traded up and got the No#2 pick in the draft.

It is absolutely reasonable that Sam doesn’t want to be here…there is no ‘competition’ for the job…the job belongs to the QB of the future-Carson Wentz-period

The Eagles sold Sam a bill of goods….they said…”Sure, Sam we believe in you…you are a “top-notch QB’ and we want you for the future. The only thing we are worried about you is your injury history..so we will sign you to a short term deal, give you plenty of money and if you stay healthy-you are our guy and we will do a long term deal with you…if you get hurt…we have paid you big bucks and we are not stuck.”

Sam said: “deal’…I’m the leader of the team

The Eagles pulled the rug from under the guy’s feet…

Sam Bradford doesn’t want to be a placeholder QB, he didn’t sign up for that….as soon as the Eagles decided that Carson Wentz is the Qb for the future…they should have done the honorable thing and trade Sam…since they knew they tricked him and sold him a bill of goods.

Of course, he doesn’t want to play for the Eagles and why should…

The bull crap about him ‘proving’ himself and ‘competition’ is just that…BULL

You have TRADED UP, given up draft choices to move up-for the No#2 pick in the draft…the kid has to play not “compete” for a job.

Sam understands the picture totally so he wants out! Phil Sheridan wraps this up pretty well here:

“If he is the Eagles’ QB, he has the chance to be Drew Brees or Carson Palmer, an elite quarterback who didn’t hit his peak until changing teams.
If Bradford becomes the placeholder QB for Wentz, the picture is different. He is more likely to become Mark Sanchez or Brian Hoyer, one of those unmoored QBs who drift around the league, waiting for someone to get injured for a chance to play.

That is why Roseman went on television Monday and said that the Eagles still “support” Bradford. The aim is to convince Bradford that he is still has the status of a franchise quarterback, that the team considers him a partner.

But actions speak more clearly than words, in this case. The Eagles’ commitment will eventually shift to Wentz. That is the course of action they began taking with last week’s trade.” Phil Sheridan,, ESPN

Sheridan is on the money…The Eagles should do the right thing…get rid of Bradford, trade him and get a 4th or 5th round pick…cut your losses. Bradford is right to want a real opportunity to be a franchise guy, and he doesn’t have that opportunity any longer here with the Eagles…

Trade Bradford, Howie…cut your losses and move on…its the best thing for Bradford AND the Eagles at this point!

And this whole narrative you’re making up about us giving Sam a 2 year deal only because of his injury history is a completely made up narrative by you with absolutely no truth to it.

The coach said we are looking for a franchise qb 2 weeks prior to signing Sam then signed Sam to a bridge qb deal. It’s always been consistent. Follow the money !!!!! Follow the years !!!!!! Follow what the coach said he is looking for in the draft!!!!!!!

We all know it doesn’t fit your narrative you’ve been so adamant about but it was always there in plane sight and you just weren’t smart enough to see if. M

And in the end you were wrong about him like every other qb you’ve screamed about.

“Idiot they didn’t say they wanted them for the future and the contract points to that fact.”

Dumb ass…its clear that this was short term contract to give him a fair opportunity to show that he could a) Stay Healthy b) Show that he could be the franchise QB…
That opportunity for Sam went out the window when the Eagles decided to trade up and get the second pick in the draft.
So now, like Carson Palmer a few years ago…he wants out to an opportunity like the Jets, like Denver who dont have a high draft picks to get a QB…Sam would rather play with another team that needs a QB where he will have a fair opportunity.
Makes great business sense for Sam, and since he can disrupt your locker room, spoil your team’s atmosphere…the Eagles should get rid of him…he has plenty of money in the bank, the Eagles can’t fine Bradford $11 million dollars…
Cut your losses and get rid of Sam…
Carson Wentz better be a franchise QB because if he’s not this has simply blown up in our faces!

The Eagles should do the right thing…get rid of Bradford, trade him and get a 4th or 5th round pick…cut your losses.

Why? The Eagles owe Sam Bradford nothing. Who cares if the situation changed… That’s life.

If I was the Eagles I would ask Sam if he would like to void the contract he signed and give back his bonus money. Then let him test the market. See how willing he is to do that….

Bradford’s agent put him in this pickle. A very large part of the fan base expected that the Eagles would be drafting a new franchise quarterback…. It’s too bad that Sam’s agent is too dumb to see that his client is not that good.

“Sam Bradford doesn’t want to be a placeholder QB, he didn’t sign up for that…”

He signed a one year deal after the Eagles (GM, coach and owner) had announced they were going to draft a QB and that finding a franchise QB was essential.

If he didn;t know he had signed up to be a placeholder, then he’s as stupid as you are.

I thought you were the only clown in the universe who didn’t see this coming, but I guess there were two of you.

Yea and that trade went down when everyone thought cutler was the truth. He was coming off his 3rd year and just threw for 4500+ yards, 25tds. Which i believe would be career highs for Sam. He was young and looking extremely talented. As opposed to Sam who has had 6 years to best those numbers and couldn’t, 6 years to prove he’s not a medical reject and to prove he something other than a bad starter. Gms aren’t dumb and aren’t paying for guys that haven’t shown anything.

Sanchez has done more than Sam and he got us a 7th…

Fools…

You all keep talking about Sam signed a one year deal…

Get it right Vinniedafoolass, Irish Eagle, and EHL…you are the guys who are bitching and moaning…whining and crying.

Sam Bradford signed the deal with the understanding that the Eagles were trying to win a Super Bowl with him…he signed the deal as an opportunity to be in the long term plans of the Eagles.

That “opportunity” is over, finish, and gone…the Eagles have decided to go in a different direction…

Their actions scream…’Bye-Bye Sam’

What you idiots think that Sam cant hear the Eagles management screams?

So from a smart, business perspective-Sam wants out which is perfectly understandable. So why should the Eagles burden the new Coach with the drama and headache….the Eagles need to get rid of Sam, give Chase Daniels the shot to play a few games and put Wentz in as the franchise Qb…

Move on…and lets see if the gamble for Wentz- a guy who played 23 games of 1AA football with 615 passes-pays off.

Stop crying and bitching about Sam…ship his ass out and let the rookie play and get some reps…

If Sam had the kind of resume that warranted this type of reaction from him, it would be understandable.

We are talking about a guy who’s production does not guarantee him a starting job anywhere else but here. That being the case the Eagles can’t get enough in return for him in a trade.

Trust me, he will never play for the Eagles again. There’s not a player in the locker room who would want to play with him after the story his agent told.

Tom Condon made Bradford sound like such a whining baby that he all but guarantee that the city would never tolerate him playing for the Eagles again… My hope is that where ever he goes, you go with him….

This whole thing started when Sam was signed to less than a 5 year deal.

Nothing matters in the NFL if you do not have a QB under control for 5 years.

Sam can’t bitch, Sam’s agent can’t bitch because they either refused a long term deal opening the door for this or they knowingly signed a bridge deal.

Even if Sam just played this year out and was good but the birds moved on he would have played himself into a long term deal with another team if the birds didn’t want him.

Now someone has overplayed their hand( team Sam) and hurt the stock of the asset (team Sam).

Conclusion- either a deal is already in place to move Bradford during the draft and this is all just to create drama and sell advertisements during the off season… Or… Team Sam thinks they are best served trying to tank value and get an outright release.

Both are bullshit and stink like hell

Hes a Proven Player who would likely be a Starter for the Eagles/3rd CB
by 2017 if not sooner.. Roby was a 1st Round Pick (31st Pick in 2014 Draft)
He’s 5-11′ 192lbs and has 105 Tackles, 23 Passes Defended, 3 Forced Fumbles and 3 Int’s and 1 Sack in his 2 Year Career which is pretty good considering he’s their 3rd CB ..
Broncos currently have long-term big Deals for both A Talib & Chris Harris which may make Roby expendable..

What’s the difference between a lame duck coach and a lame duck QB? I’m not a fan of The Gimp but I have zero issue with him asking to be traded. Let’s start the process right now hell with a year later. That way Wentz gets to work with his skill position players he’ll be playing with for years. Why have The Gimp playing with guys who deep down know he doesn’t matter? Why go across the middle and get killed for a guy who isn’t going to be here? For who, for what? This ain’t about competing because there is no competition. Once again the front office of the smartest guys to never win a Super Bowl strikes again.

difference is a lame duck qb can be traded. this year the only team that would want him is SF and maybe the jets

next year when the broncs go 7-9 with sanchez theyll want him more if he shows something this year. when the browns realize they cant win with rg3 or mccown theyll come calling, same with jets possibly. miami may want to move on from tannehill, someone may get hurt, texans may realize osweiler blows, niners may realize gabbert blows and so on… qb position is just to valuable just to dump a guy to dump him… howie should give no fucks about sams feelings… the smart play is to get what you want or hold out until you get what you want..

the fan in me wants him gone at all costs so i dont have to watch this sorry ass qb at all this year and so i can watch our future but at the same time i see a chance this pussy gets us meaningful picks, so i say stand pat until we can get something for him

ALSO AND THIS IS KIND OF BIG
chase daniels has the following incentives in his deal:
3.75 mill bonus if he throws a measly 3500 yards
3.75 mill bonus if he throws 19tds.

can the eagles take that risk he does that this year? can they afford to resign cox with that risk?

I was wrong.

Sour Sam must go and I don’t care if we get a 4th rounder. Randy Moss was traded for a 4 and was a much more impactful player at that point in his career than Sam has ever been.

He has become a problem and his attitude ensures he is done in the NFL if he does not have a great year for someone this year.

At this point Condon and Bradford have got to be aware of the disasterously negative response to Condon’t “reasons” interview the other day.

They have to know Bradford is being eviscerated both locally and nationally. They have to be aware that almost universally former players, coaches, analysts and fans have rejected his whining.

And yet there is silence. No Koolidiot like backtracking. No “misunderstood” statements. Nothing while Quitterford is getting dragged through the mud.

Silence makes me think there’s something up. Probably something that has already been arranged to be announced tomorrow of Friday.

We’ll see.

One of the biggest things for me is how both Sam and his agent, along with the “Sam excuse crew” are seemingly so “su\prised”.

Like this is the first time a team has ever traded up before.

Like this is the first time a team has drafted a QB in the first with another QB on the roster.

Like this doesn’t happen at every other position every other year.

It’s fucking laughable.

That sums it perfectly Vinnie, Bradford could have been what everyone wanted him to be a star QB to lead us to the playoffs again, but he showed us what he really is, a POS bust

Vin. This is pre orchestrated (plan A) ..always was ..what Condon is doing is playing the sympathy card ,hoping he’ll get the suitor for Sam to indulge in an extension or add a performance and no trade clause or both..he was compromised in that regard after the neophyte chip 4 yr 72 mill..all edged deal ,walked. Out the proverbial deal..what a franchise changer that would have been ? Now Condon gets a new foil ,he gets to plea for poor Sam ..mr asterisk ..it’s called negotiating from presumed weakness as a strength ,to convince the next landing spot ..Sam was done wrong ..lets not repeat that same mistake here ..this landing spot is a known entity …it was known back when the Eagles overpaid for Daniels and committed Mor to he than Sam ..don’t be misled ..follow always the $$

You have been very consistent on that thought. And it looks like there’s a good chance of it now.

I always felt the Eagles paid 22 instead of just tagging at 19.9 in order to control his rights into the 2nd year and trade him at that point.

That they paid a $2.1 million dollar insurance policy (per se) so that if he had his best season the Eagles would be able to trade or resign (and I was hoping trade of course)the guy at that point.

But now I find it very difficult to see that happening after this “run away from the rookie” routine.

There’s no way he takes the field without “Boooooooooooooooooo!” raining down o his every mistake.

Had he stayed and manned up, not only would he make $22 mill, but he might have become a sympathetic character with the fans.

Had he played well, the story might go, “wow. He just might be good! Maybe its true he’s had a raw deal! Look at how well he’s playing….”

ANd it he predictably failed, nothing more that, “oh well…its just Bradford…what did we expect. Bring on the rookie!”

But now??

Vitriolic hate for a quitter.

You are right though….when Sam lands somewhere the spin machine there will be all, “Sam was wronged! All he wanted was a chance!”

The piling on here is ridiculous. It fits the narrative but its still ridiculous.

Sam Bradford is the starting QB of the 2016 eagles. Get over it.

You all said… they dont like him. they wont try to keep him.
You all said… they will let him walk.
You all tried to read between the lines, like Ralphy in the bathroom with his olvaltine decoder to see what the coach “really thinks” what the GM “really thinks” what the owner “really thinks”.
And in the end….. the signed him to a 2 year deal and control his right over that time.

He gives us the best chance for this year. For the sake of the Eagles I hope they either….

1> Start him
2> Trade him for nothing less than a 2nd rounder

Nothing to see here…. our QB’s are better now (assuming we draft one at #2) then we’ve had in a while.

Stevo I have been on Bradford side as much as I can, but one thing you don’t do with a fan base like ours is demand a trade when u ain’t done shit to earn it, we paid him, and he is scared of a fucking QB from nd state, he could have the man here and proved everybody wrong, but he’s a bitch for life now

An agent was just on 94.1 saying you don’t do what condon did/is doing unless you want the opposite to happen. Said you don’t back an owner / gm up against the wall unless you want them to do the opposite.

If true and it makes sense is Sam and his agent gets everyone pissed at him, he wants to stay and collect that money so that next year he gets his new deal…reality may be they just don’t want Sam to be cut or traded this year so they can start this year then get a new deal next year.

My minds in a pretzel

but since Roseman/Pederson have both declared Bradford the Starting QB all Off-Season with a Plan to Draft and Develop a Future QB, what good does it do Sam Bradford, His Agent or the Eagles to be whining about it now from a Financial or Contractural basis for everyone in the NFL knows that Sam Bradford was Overpaid for 2016 and got a fantastic deal by the Eagles and that he would have to prove himself once and for all after playing in 2016, before anyone would give him a Long-Term Deal moving Forward… I see no leverage being gained by acting like a puss, in fact just the opposite where some other Team who may have been interested may be scared off by him being a whining puss-bag… He’s 29 Years Old Now and has basically accomplished nothing during his 6-7 Year Career, His time to actually become an Impact Player/very Good to Elite QB is about over…
There is simply not many Teams, GM’s who are excited about what Sam Bradford brings to a Team..

The good it would do is prevent him from being cut. And prevent him from ripping up a contract they like. Look if Sam gets traded next year he and his agent have leverage as his cap hit next year is insane. They’ll say to their new team next year yea that cap hit is big lets renegotiate long term and lower that number….

It also creates the narrative if Sam has mild success that he was playing under unideal circumstances and his back up against the wall and he played well (assuming he plays average). They can say look how quick Sam learned dougs offense… He played with sub par talent… And so on

His agent and Sam knows there’s no market for him now. His agent is a vet now some other top agent (I forget his name, Google who Ryan leafs agent was and who Paxton lynchs agent is) is saying this is what SAMs agent and I have no choice but to believe this is what the crafty vet condon is doing.

And about the puss thing. He is acting like that now but come mandatory training and camp and week 1 when he’s acting like a pro over the long term nobody will remember this stunt. And if they do his excuse will be I knew I was a 1 year rental and didn’t want to risk injury at non mandatory stuff. Then he’ll say look at the Giants wr who lost his season in non mandoatory stuff the next day.

Why not Wentz week 1, I remember a man by the name of Russell Wilson. This lonely 3rd round pick came in and kicked ass, straight Brodied the job away in Seattle. This after Seattle kicked out a nice contract for their supposed franchise QB. It can be done

It would be nice if the Eagles had the type of offense that Seattle had when Russell Wilson was was a rookie. Wilson was, and is, a great quarterback, but he had the benefit of a great running game.

In Wilson’s rookie year he attempted about 25 passes/game – they ran the ball about 34 times/game…

Of course it probably wouldn’t have mattered with Wilson. He played like a veteran quarterback from the day he first stepped foot on the field. But it’s nice for a rookie.

That type of Conservative Offense that QB Russell Wilson was able to begin his Career with only works if you have an Elite Shut Down Defense which the Seahawks have had the over last 3-4 Seasons and especially during Wilson’s first 2 Seasons where he was basically a Game-Manager
If Seahawks had an average defense or below average like the Eagles have had the last 5 Years, then having a conservative Offense doesn’t really work well enough to Win Games to even get to the Post-Season..
In the NFC East , you need to Score about 24 Points a Game to have a chance of Winning the Division with a healthy Romo, Eli & Cousins leading their Offenses..

Paul Russell Wilson beat out Matt Flynn in training camp. Before they even played a regular season game he was named the starter. That’s what I’m saying Wentz should do.

The real issue up in Seattle about the Matt Flynn/Russell Wilson deal was after the Seahawks signed Flynn to a big Contract inFree-Agency he came to the OTA’s not in tip top shape, didn’t learn the Playbook very well and had issues running their Offense whereby 3rd Round Pivk Russell Wilson hit the Camps running… Coach Pete Carroll made the Change after OTA’s and before Summer Camp to see if Flynn would rise to the occasion and fight for his Job which he never did and was later cut .. Wilsonstsrting out was very raw, but went about improving and learning the right way… Flynn got fat, dumb & content after his big deal, Carroll to his credit wasted no time making the switch

Wentz should crack the line up at least by week 4. Sitting for a year or two when you don’t have a Brett Favre type quarterback in front of you is ridiculous. The number 2 pick in the draft should crack the line up this year, if he doesn’t then that is considered project. We could have gotten a project like Hackenburg or Prescott in the 3rd round then.
