Report: Eagles Told Bradford They Would Draft A QB

SamBradfordvs.Jets1According to Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford, he’s mad at the Eagles because they didn’t tell him that they were planning on drafting a quarterback.

Can you believe this guy?  He won’t step up and take the challenge, so he won’t answer his phone because his feelings are hurt because he says the Eagles didn’t tell him they were going to draft a quarterback.

According to ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio, Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said he told Bradford they were going to draft a quarterback and Bradford refuses to take Pederson’s calls, so isn’t answering his phone.

“He told me that he told Bradford and Chase Daniel up front that they were going to draft a quarterback, and they were going to try to nurture him for the future, and they expected Bradford and Daniel to be part of that, but that this year Bradford would be the starter,” Paolantonio said. “And they were shocked when they told Bradford that they were going up to No. 2 and they were making the trade and investing five picks, and Bradford’s reaction was one of anger, and he abruptly walked out of the offseason training program.”

Regardless of whether they told him or not, Bradford is going to be forced to come in and shine or get exposed as a guy, who doesn’t have the heart to compete in the National Football League.  He signed a two-year contract and already received $11 million dollars of that deal.  But he’s got a challenge before him for the first time in his career, which will make him a benchwarmer, if he doesn’t produce.

Rookie Carson Wentz is anxious to get the playbook and get the chance to compete.  His competitive spirit will be contrasted with Bradford, who is asking to be traded so he can avoid the challenge.

Bradford doesn’t look very good to his teammates right now.  He also doesn’t look good to the Eagles fans.  The city which loves a fighter doesn’t feels good about a guy, who doesn’t want to take on a challenge. .

Bradford is going to help Wentz take this team and make it his own because…..

1. Bradford presents like an entitles brat by walking out on his teammates.

2. Wentz is Exuding Alpha Male (Personality wise he is def more like Favre, Big Ben than Sam)

3. All Wentz has to do is pick up the offense and execute competently in practice and Bradford won’t see the field if he is still on roster.

Hoping we trade Sam tonight. (And before all this I was a Show me Sam guy)

I always thought Sam sucked. And I always knew he was a quitter/loser. You only have to look at the way the guy walks on and off a field to understand that. He exudes “I quit”

But I never expected this. Not only can he not win games, but throwing all his team mates under the bus? Screwing over the franchise? Completely erasing his already pathetic trade value? Embarrassing himself in front of the entire league?

Never saw that coming.

We’re heading to be Birds having to flat out release the guy. Hell be eating up. Cap space for two years.

One of the worst Eagles trades ever.

Sam Bradford had an opportunity to sign a long term contract with the Eagles when Chip was here. He declined the offer allegedly made to him (I believe he was offered a 4 year $18 million contract). Sam decided to bet on himself to get a larger contract as he believed he was going to have a better season than he did. I also believe he thought he was going to be able to hold the Eagles hostage over the next year if he played well by signing the 2 year deal. Sam had no conceived notion that the Eagles were going to move up to pick 2 to draft a QB. Now he knows that there is no way he is coming back after this year. Sam played his games and bet on himself, instead of taking the long term contract offered to him, he decided to go short term and bit him in the ass. If Sam was offered a big long term contract from another team he would have taken it and moved on. Bradford never had any allegiance to the Eagles. In my opinion, he was using the Eagles as a vehicle to drive his value up, the Eagles gave him an opportunity to perform and increase his value, further, they just paid him 5.5 million, with another 5.5 million due in June. Since Sham has gotten here, let’s examine his loyalty and commitment to the Eagles…Sam repays the Eagles by refusing to sign long term proposals, now abandoning practice ( albeit voluntary) after signing a contract and being paid. Sam was at the voluntary practice, then left upon receiving word that the Eagles moved up to draft a QB. Now Sham Bradfraud is disgruntled and has shown himself as a quitter. Scam Bradskirt never had to earn a starting spot, he was always given the job, now, in the face of competition and adversity he swells up, pouts, grabs his ball and runs home, refusing to take any calls from the coach or return texts. What a selfish, quitter, cry baby!!! And this, was a guy called a leader by some on GCOBB..what a joke!!!

no one in the city wanted him in the first place before the trade.
no one in the city wanted him to be resigned in Free Agency.
I booed Bradford regularly at the Linc all last year —
But now before Jeffery and Howie shut down these press conferences and go hide behind locked doors until the next annual free agency and draft cycle. I’m booing these 2 dingbats loudly who resigned him under the guise that Sam Bradford gives them the best chance to win now mantra. ( Jeff Lurie and Howie Roseman) you’re wasting your chance to poke Jeffery and Howie before they scurry back into their holes.

E0S, you would be incorrect. There were people who wanted Sam here..The Sam excuse crew…koolbreeze, CT and cantakeitanymore pined for Sam to be the long term answer at QB.

When we were at 13th pick I wanted Sam. Once we were at 8 I was hoping we could get to Wentz

Signing Sam at FA made sense. If he shut his pie hole it was still worth it for him to have value. Now if Foles is cut and willing to sign cheap you might just see Sam in the Can on the curb holding 11million to wipe his tears with.

Sammy boy should be in this nfl long enough by now, and made tens and tens of millions along with a few more tens of millions to figure out, the nfl. players, agents and press along with coaches etc . etc. are subject to a few outright lies.If he ever plays in front of a philly crowd again the booing will unmerciful. He is cooked as far as a human being in philly.

Bull…more BS

Spare me-G…this is a terrible article.

The Eagles should just get rid of Bradford and stop with the BS spin.

The Eagles tried to sign Bradford to a long term deal on the cheap, well below market value for a franchise QB. And they had a perfectly legitimate reason: Bradford’s history for getting hurt. So Sam agreed to sign a short term make good deal where he would have the chance to show that he was a long-term answer and if he got hurt again, the Eagles would have an easy out.
Yeah, the Eagles told Sam that they would draft a QB but not with the No#2 pick in the draft!
So now Bradford feels he has been crossed and deceived by the Eagles and doesn’t want to play here, he wants to be traded. If he knew the Eagles wanted to pick high in the draft for a QB, he would not have signed the short term deal he signed…and for the amount of money the Eagles signed him for…it didn’t make sense.
Fast forward to now…when you grab a QB with the second pick in the draft, you need to get his ass on the field and let him develop…let him learn…
You have a vet offensive line that can protect him,..you have to let him learn under competitive fire…because that’s what’s missing from Wentz resume…when has this guy ever faced any serious competition?
When, where, against who…?
The spinning and flip-flopping from Vinniedafool, EHL, and others is ridiculous!
Vinniedafoolass, who hates running QB’s suddenly is in love with this kid who is clearly a ‘running QB’ that he hated in Mike Vick and Cam Newton.
Stop the bull, stop the spin…lets move on…
The deal is done, the ink is dry…Carson Wentz is the Franchise..you have tied yourself to the kid…lets do all we can to develop him as a QB. With that, we dont need a disgruntled vet QB around the kid. When you draft a guy this high and give up what you gave up to get him…how in the hell do you sit him on the bench as the third string…not dressing.

That’s ridiculous. Name one QB that has been drafted No#1 or No#2 in the NFL draft where a team gave up valuable picks to get him..to then be relegated to the bench?.

Get rid of Bradford, trade him, cut him…but get the disgruntled vet off the team and turn it over to the kid.

He’s not the first guy to be mad at Eagles management and want out…nor will he be the last guy.

LMAO…still on the old franchise QB nonsense huh. The only person that sees Sham Bradfraud as a franchise QB is you. Time to let it go and come into reality. Better yet, stay in your delusional world of make believe…you give me something to laugh at when you post your Bradfraud nonsense. You were wrong and continue to be!

Also spare me the Bradford has no heart argument…

That’s complete BS!!!

Bradford has come back from 2 ACL knee injuries…he’s been through far more adversity than Wentz can imagine.

If the guy had no heart he could have simply taken the $70 million bucks he got in the bank and quit after the second ACL injury…

Bradford is not the first guy that the Eagles management have done dirty…his demands for a trade is perfectly reasonable…he doesn’t trust the new Coach, feels he has been tricked and lied to…so he wants to move on.

Fine…get rid of Sam Bradford…How do you reasonable expect a disgruntled QB who hates you to now be the starting QB for the team??

Eagles Management should have had more foresight…once they set their sights on Wentz, they should have gotten rid of Bradford…simple as that…

Lets move on…give the kid the keys to the car and let him drive it..

It now the Wentz era and there is no place for Sam Bradford in this new era so lets move on!
