So this rookie LB Myke Taverres wants to pull a Kaepernick and sit during the national anthem..time to find yourself another job kid. When you disrespect the flag and what we stand for as Americans, then it’s time to pack up your shit, and move to another country. This is getting ridiculous

agree DMAN! what a bunch of fuckin dildos. got a american made millionaire dissing the flag and in process insulting everyone who fights for (literally and figuratively ) this nations freedoms.

the entitled, pussification of american, safe spacers are a disgrace.

funny thing is he will diss the flag, yet not make a statement during a presser or something – because hell get fined if he does it in the presser… guys a fucking twerp

how about taking a stand about people killing fuckin people. not the police murdering criminals. the facts

in 2015 there were 1199 deaths by police, 574 of them were minorities and the rest werent

1200 isnt a lot as many people that live here and then when you acknowledge less than half were minorities and are 38% of the population…

people are fucking brainwashed anymore. thinking cops just executing people… get a damn clue

Kaepernick is involved in the communities…that is clear on his twitter pages.

As an American he is exercising his 1st amendment right. His protest is nonviolent, civil and very patriotic. He is not calling for violence or practicing violence. His stance has called attention to a problem..it’s his cause. As far as dissing the flag, I think Kaepernick is challenging our nation to truly live up to what it say..freedom and justice for all..Mhenski..all people do not get justice..if you are rich and commit a crime..chances are you will get a more lenient sentence.if found guilty than a poor person would regardless of their race or ethnicity. (Google Brock Turner and David Becker and Sam Ukwuachu)…all found guilty of sexual assault..the latter gets sentenced to 26 years….the others get probation and house arrest…It goes a lot deeper than that..but dialogue is needed..not close mindedness.

As far as the 13000, there is outrage, however, in communities it’s less covered by the media. Dwayne Wade, Stephen A Smith, Steve Harvey just to name a few have been doing a lot of antiviolence work in communities where violence is rampant..especially in Chicago…but you do not hear about it. You have to question..why?

Activists and agents of change in violent communities protest everyday from non police violence in their communities but it’s not covered in the national news. …why? It’s not sensationalism.

Actually what wades doing is getting attention.

That ain’t Kraps cause. He a phony and jumping on that bandwagon

It’s all a shame but this outrage over police is ridiculous.

Krappernick has issues and he wants to be a part of something for his insecurities, which is cool and righteous I guess but I happen to think he ignorant and choosing the wrong fight.

Isn’t Kaepernick engaged to a Rap Singer whose Brother is very active in the Black Lives Movement Group .. I read where Kaepernick has Converted to the Islam Religion as well so it appears he has a lot of things going on in his Life besides Football…
I did state in the Spring that Blaine Gabbert would Win the Starters Job for the 49ers just as I stated that the Broncos Trevor Siemian would beat out Mark Sanchez for the Broncos Starting Job.. Kaepernick did not want to return back to the 49ers and play for the two-faced GM Trent Balkee who ruined that Team in a ego battle with former HC Jim Harbaugh and chased off a Winning Coach, Program with Talented Players.. Chip Kelly has a mess on his hands as the 49ers demise can really only be pointed at GM Trent Balkee..

How is he a phony? He did not ask for the press nor accost them to discuss him not standing. If you looked at his twitter page you’d know he’s been dealing with the issue of injustice for over a year now. He’s not asking for donations, money, people to join him etc.. When a person decides to stand up for something they believe in, no matter how unpopular their cause or how they protest, there are always cynics, but, if that person is not actively seeking the attention then I doubt that they are being a phony. I think Kap is genuine and sincere in his feelings and his stance. I applaud his bravery as he knows he has much more to lose than gain by taking a position like he has done.

Talk about a phony..Ryan Lochte is the poster boy of phonies!

In an announcement that may surprise gcobbers… HAC supports his second amendment rights…. No issues whatsoever…
But I will say…if he/others feel oppressed, as my ancestors did then maybe it’s time to take the brave trip… Emigrate to new lands, start fresh and build a better society, it is how America was created and maybe this new land will be even better.

That’s a gtotally ridiculous stance. Why should an American who disagrees with something he feels wrong is wrong in this country leave it when he has the right to protest it. His ancestors helped build this country and their sweat, blood and forced labor is in the fabric of this country. He’s an American exercising his right…why should he leave?

Donald Trump doesn’t think America is great..and he says the military is a mess…he’s not happy with the country…Should he leave?

My answer is know. Mr. Trump is looking for a way in his opinion to make America great again…

Kap has found a way to get America to dialogue and make America better..leaving the country and running from the fight would be cowardly…a bitch move!

People have been fighting the oppressive American government in regards to race for hundreds of years… It’s not changed…

But it’s not just about race…the media is pushing that…there are poor whites struggling in this country too. Poor people in general…Kap mentioned how veterans returning home from war are not treated right..no one is highlighting that..why?

If people who are unhappy should’ve left this country, the women in the suffrage movement, Dr. M.L. King, Muhammad Ali, Kareem Abdul Jabar, Jim Brown, John Carlos and Tommy Smith.

The funny thing is when Marcus Garvey began buying ships to leave the U.S., the government arrested him on trumped up charges to prevent him and the hundreds of blacks and Jamaicans that was prepared to leave.

Come on Eagle, it is clearly about race as he stated in the first sentence of description why he did it:
“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,” Kaepernick told NFL Media in an exclusive interview after the game. “To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”

That being said, while I don’t agree with his way to protest, he certainly has the right to protest in this way just like the people who burn flags. He has succeeded in making this a national conversation. I think what is more important is his next step. How will he use his fame, money and influence to try to help to fix the issue that he has identified. It is easy to point out things that we don’t like, but much harder to fix. Hell, that is how you get elected.

Race is apart of it, but it’s not the only thing. If you listen to his 18 minute talk with reporters, that is clear. Race is always the lightening rod though. The fact is nobody wants to address the issues that leads to solutions…people want to get stuck in the paralysis of analysis and muck of minutia because the issues are uncomfortable for some to deal with. Kap has made a lot of people upset and uncomfortable, good!
As I stated..politicians even state that there are problems in this country that need to be dealt with…Kap just highlighted them by not standing. His talking points are very clear..but people only hear what they want to..or pick and choose. People are talking, unfortunately some want to divert attention of the issues to patriotism and the military etc..

ur right bugs. so his stance is fuck the police i wont pledge allegiance for the country that made enabled me to be a millionaire minority because just under 600 minorities were killed by police last year, of those 600 just under 10 or so were highly publicized and questionable and possibly murder or not… and for that krap says FUCK YOU USA. LMFAO

THIS GUY IS A TOTAL DICK HEAD AND DUMB AS FUCK.

maybe he should put in work to his game or put his time and money into trying to solve the 13000 gun murders by non police. but i guess he too scared to try to fix the 13k real murders and instead focuses on the 600, makes sense for a fucking moron

Mhenski, Kaepernick stated that he does not feel oppressed, but, he is speaking for those who do not have a voice but are oppressed.
He also stated that his stance is not anti military as he has family, friends and loved ones in the military that he respects and loves. This is a social issue.
I think he’s sacrificing himself to bring a voice to those who are not in position to do so. I have to commend him for that..Michael Jordan is a celebrated athlete who does not have the balls to make a stance or take such a position. He’s a punany and a phony.

I will not call kap a hero because I do not know enough about where he plans to go with this..but I admire his willingness to stand for something, perhaps in this case …sit.

I sure hope the 49ers don’t get any crap for cutting Kap. I understand he is expressing his constitutional right, but I don’t think he is interested standing regardless of what progress takes place. NFL teams should have the right to cut a player no matter what. Just like driving a vehicle…is it a right? Nope, it’s a privilege. NFL should be no different.
