Final Thoughts

A pretty brutal series for the Phillies wrapped up today, with the team suffering a sweep.

Nick Pivetta wasn’t great, but he was better than he’s been recently. Pivetta has had several games this year where he’s been able to rack up double-digit strikeouts. It makes me wonder if he wouldn’t be better suited for a role in the bullpen.

Also, with Odubel Herrera nursing a hamstring injury, Nick Williams has been getting a look out in centerfield. So far, Williams has held up well, making a highlight-reel catch last night. It’s something worth watching in case the Phils decide to shop Herrera around over the winter.
