More Teammates Say Lance Armstrong Used Banned Substances

HIs story is an epic one. Millions world-wide cling to his tale of hope in the battle with the often lethal disease of cancer. Seven-time Tour De France champion Lance Armstrong was having a great cycling career when he was diagnosed with cancer.

He shut down his career, won a bout with testicular cancer, then preceded to come backcame back to cycling world and went on to dominate the sport of bicycling like no one ever has.

The “Live Strong” wristbands are worn by millions to signify their belief in Armstrong’s valiant fight.

More and more of Lance Armstrong’s bicycling teammates now say he used performance-enhancing substances for years as they competed on the cycling circuit. Tonight on 60 Minutes, CBS investigative reporter Scott Pelley will say that, George Hincapie, who is one of Armstrong’s closest friends and a teammate for years, testified to federal authorities that he used banned substances with Armstrong.

According to 60 Minutes, Hincapie is one of at least three of Armstrong’s former teammates, who reportedly told federal investigators that they saw Armstrong use banned substances. Tyler Hamilton and Frankie Andreu are the other teammates who point the finger at Armstrong.

Of course the bicycling champion, continues to point at the more than 500 tests which he says he has passed and the fact that he hasn’t ever tested positive for using any performance-enhancing substances. Armstrong recently tweeted: ‘‘20+ year career. 500 drug controls worldwide, in and out of competition. Never a failed test. I rest my case.’’

I personally don’t see how all of these people can be lying to the court. I also can’t believe that Armstrong can outride everybody like a Superman, while some of the people he is beating are using the banned substances.

Why is it every time someone admits to PED use, they have to say Lance did it to? Personally I don’t care. Have at it Lance, you’ve done more good with your cause than damage you could have done by cheating on a bike race no one really cared about till you came along anyway.
