Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick might be former-Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick if they can’t get this whole shooting mess sorted out shortly. It’s not that anyone really believes that Michael was involved, but when his story doesn’t line up exactly with some of the evidence, it starts to look really bad.
But here’s some new information that isn’t all that shocking. Game 102.1 FM in Virginia Beach is told by credible sources that Michael’s brother Marcus was involved in the shooting. According to Gregg Rosenthal (who was doing an interview with that station at the time) of PFT and Rotoworld.com, show host Bartley Barefoot was absolutely certain that Marcus was involved based on his source’s credibility.
I read one of the numerous stories floating around regarding the incident that talked about Quanis Phillips (the shooting victim, Vick’s cousin and co-dogfighting conspirator) smashing cake in Michael’s face. Several people have come out with this story, but I saw one that said Michael stayed calm, while Marcus became extremely agitated. I can’t confirm the veracity of this, but it would dovetail with him being involved in the shooting.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reported earlier today that the shooter is supposed to come forward “soon.” Michael could really use that right now. He needs all the facts to come out and for all those facts to point to him doing nothing wrong.
I read some people complaining about how G. was talking about how Vick can’t be putting himself in these situations. People criticized him and said that Vick did his time and he has the right to do this and that and not live in a cave. I’m not just kissing up here, but G. is 100% right. Based on Vick’s past, he is on a very, very short leash (no pun intended) as far as his status with the Philadelphia Eagles and the NFL are concerned.
Does he have a legal right to have a birthday party with an open invite to anyone who pays their money and conforms with the dress code? Of course he has that legal right. But your legal rights and your rights to stay in the NFL are too very different things. Vick might be wise to just have parties at his house. Even then, that might not be a great idea based on the kinds of people he tends to gravitate to.
I guess soon he will not be able to be around his own brother, Marcus Vick, who should be on probation.
Vick has a right to have a birthday party. The NFL and the Eagles have the right to cut him. He should have stayed home. He has 5.2 million reasons not to get into trouble. At best, it was poor judgement. At worst, it was criminal. The Eagles have every right to cut him and I would not be surprised if they do.

I wanted to see what Vick could for us if he got some playing time but now things kinda look real shaky. Of course no man could separate from his/her own blood brother but c’mon with this kinda stupidity. I’m really speechless…somebody help me out here. By the way G, your video pretty much summed up what should of happened in hindsight.
The eagles went through much trouble ,ridicule,bad publicity to give this clown a break to get back on his feet after the dog fighting stunt he put together ,then they pay him 5.2 milliion dollars . This guy damn knew what his probation rules were , so if its true he broke those rules he can kiss his career and 5.2 million goodby ,and maybe someday we will see him working on a prison road clean-up crew somewhere !!!!

everyday this story gets worse. Vick needs to go and before training camp. The last time i checked the eagles were not an organization that specializes in rehab projects. I don’t care what people are saying, if you are fresh out the pen and making 5.2 mil you would probably hang out with your WIFE AND KIDS rather then the boys that just got your ass sent to prison for 18 months and made you lose about 100 mil. There is no logical debate against that. And for marcus vick someone should lock him in a padded room cuz that kid is a lost cause. A lot of people thought he was as talented or more talented then michael but pissed it away on weed and the need to stomp on people.
Micah, I don’t think Quanis is Vick’s cousin. They played football together at Warwick high school in Newport News, VA.
