Andy Reid and Donovan McNabb see Michael Vick as another weapon opponents will have to worry about when they play the Eagles. He could a key weapon in the red zone.
Surely the Wildcat offense would be one of the methods Reid and Marty Mornhinweg would utilize to get Vick involved in the offense. It would be a headache for opposing defenses.
Vick and the Wildcat offense could be the answer to the Birds problems inside the ten yard line. Teams would have to both defend him as a runner and as a passer.
McNabb could do some of these things but I don't think Andy would want to allow him to run the ball so much.
The Eagles have been working on the wildcat offense all training camp and would be able to take it to another level with Vick.
Reid said that the Wildcat would definitely be one way he would use Vick and he didn't want to spoil the surprise so he refused to talk about other way they would use him.
Reid stressed the fact that Vick was already familiar with the west coast offense.
McNabb said he didn't see Vick as a threat and would have no problems giving up six or seven plays out of 65 during a game to let the former Atlanta quarterback come in for the Wildcat offense.
They could also employ him at different positions but Reid and McNabb stressed that Vick is a quarterback.
