McNabb Sounds The Alarm: This Game Is A Must Win

McNabb at practice today Everybody knew that this upcoming Bears game was a big one for the Eagles, but now EVERYBODY knows it because Donovan McNabb proclaimed it to be a MUST WIN.

I like the fact that he sounded the alarm because this team needs to wake up immediately.  Will he be criticized for it, yes, but he’s going to be criticized for waking up in the morning.  He’s got to do what he thinks is best for this football team.

It’s that simple.  He and this football team have no time to be doing anything but focusing on winning.

If they were to let this one slip by, it will probably mean they’ll be watching the post season on television.

The Bears are and up and down team that doesn’t score a lot of points.  They’re quarterback Jay Cutler is capable of throwing a lot of interceptions, so the Birds need to create an environment which makes it easy for him to do just that.

They need everybody who is healthy to show up on Sunday ready to play their best football.

Injuries have made their room for error smaller, so the stars have to play like stars.

Offensively it means McNabb and the receivers must shine.  DeSean Jackson, Brent Celek, Jeremy Maclin and Jason Avant must together a top shelf performance.

Defensively, Trent Cole, Asante Samuel and Quintin Mikell need to have big games.  The same is true of Sheldon Brown if he plays.
