Sixers Should Fire Eddie Jordan After Season

Jordan on the sideline If the Sixers had a team which was talented enough to do something in the playoffs I would say they needed to fire head coach Eddie Jordan right now.

The fact is that the team is terrible so there’s no need in firing him right now, but at the end of the season he should be given his walking papers.

Jordan’s only qualification for getting this job is the fact that he is a friend of Eddie Stefanski.

Any knowledgeable NBA fan knows that defense makes the difference in the NBA.  If you’re not willing to play defense then you’re not going to win anything.

Jordan came here talking about his Princeton offense as if that was going to make a difference here with a Sixers group that can’t shoot from outside and lacks a true point guard.

It made no sense to bring a coach like Jordan in here who had a more talented team in Washington but never won anything because they weren’t willing to play shut down defense.

Stefanski with Brand I think a coach which demanded more on the defensive end than Jordan could have done better in Washington.

That’s why it made no sense to bring Jordan here to Philadelphia in the first place.

He doesn’t seem to have a clear plan of how he wants to use his players.  Too many times he seems to forget to get certain people on the floor when the game is on the line.

I’ve seen him put Allen Iverson and Lou Williams on the bench while the team can’t get a good shot or put the ball in the basket.

Stefanski should let Jordan stay in place until the season is over then say goodbye to him.

The next coach which comes here has to emphasize defense.
