How And Where Are You Checking The Game Out Today?

What are you doing to get ready for the big one today?  Are you looking at the game at home?  Are you checking it out at a sports bar in the area?  Are you going to the game or are you already there and having fun in the parking lot?

The game is about six hours away and the tension is already in the air.  The Eagles have already started to arrive at Lincoln Financial Field.  Some Eagles fans have already been tailgating in the parking lot for hours.  The Birds have got to find a way to come down with this one.

The key will be the game plan and getting into the end zone when they get the chance.  Andy and Marty have got to run the football, as well as call some screens and draws.

I’ll be at Chammps in Marlton for the first half of the game, then I’ll head to the stadium to enjoy the second half.  Stop by Chammps and say hello if you’re in the area.

Enjoy the game G and be careful out there traveling…
I will be enjoying the game in my “Mancave” down in the basement with my 42″ Flat Screen TV..
I also have my girlfriends Penelope Cruz and Scarlett Johansen coming over with the munchies.
I have beer and wine chilling and we are expecting more snow tonight in the High Country in NC
so the Girls may have to stay over a day or two…. Enjoy the games..
Where’s the Predictions..

Sports bars are a lot of fun but everytime I go to one for a big game, they loose so, I’ll do everyone a favor and stay at home with my big screen HD, DVR for the slomo replays I want during comercials & Merill on the surround sound! It’s the best place to see the game other than 50 yard line @ the stadium! Havin a bro over that’s as much a fan as me so’ll the’ll be no non-Eagles conversation. My wife and adult kids know, short of an emergency, when the birds are playin’, I’m unavailable.

I hope the fans are ready to rumble today and keep it going all game long…
Lately, they have not been as loud or consistent as in past years, but I think everyone who watched
the Seahawks game yesterday understands the importance of having a loud, rowdy and informed crowd at the game… (and the play of the Eagles has to keep these fans inspired and something to cheer for too)

The Birds need to do something early to get the crowd going. We haven’t had a good stadium since the last game of the ’08 season vs. Dallas, and that was because the defense was making turnovers that turned into touchdowns by the hatful. The crowds are not even in the stadium when the game starts, still outside partying, everybody sits down and waits to see what happens. I’ll lay some truth down here, and it might hurt. Eagles fans are not what they used to be, they no longer deserve the reputation that was built over years and years. They are soft.

Well I plan on watching the game on the 52″ HDTV and being on the couch with my girl. Being here in Packer country provides a perspective of over confidence that I feel the birds can take advantage of. This game won’t be easy but the pundits are wrong the Pack can be beat! Go birds and to all the fans at the game please man up cause we can’t be soft! This is the time to regain that rabid reputation!

Well somewhat…but it IS too fuggin soft up there now. The team shouldnt have too score or get a pick or fumblerooski on the first drive too fire you up. Just be fired up! Went too Giants game and i noticed people not even in there seats until the middle of 1st. Get your a$$ outta the drunking lot and get your root on!!

anderson – Gotta agree about the fans. They’re not what they used to be and have been living on the reputation. They’ve forgotten that they can and should get the team going, that’s they’re job. If they do, they’ll jack up the birds and make it harder on the Packers. Unfortunatley, they’ve recenlty not brought it to the stadium then bitch about the birds performance. The fans need to bring the juice in with them from the parking lot instead of wasting it in the parking lot.

Word has it that Nnamdi Asomugha will be a free agent this year any chance the birds can sign him?

The best game at the Linc was the NFC Championship against Atlanta. The Timmy Kelly did the National Anthem, the whole crowd stood for the entire game. It was just like being back in Navy-Marine Corp Stadium, all that was missing was plebes doing pushups. I want that stadium back, just one more time, it was a night I will never forget. Everything was rocking as hard as could be, from Mr. Greengenes doing “Sunday Bloody Sunday” before the game, to Dawk with the trophy afterward. Just a perfect night.

Did anyone see that Nnamdi Asomugha will be a free agent? Apparently, his contract is void since he didn’t reach all the incentives and the Raiders can’t franchise him either. I know we are in playoff mode but the Eagles better go after him. Line him and Asante up….. that would be the best CB tandem in the league.

Also the Linc just simply does hold the noise in as the “Cement Cylandir Vet” did,
It’s a fact with the open end part of the Staduim that the noise just carries up and away…
Strong Winds will effect the Deep Routes pass plays,Punting and the Kicking Games …

27-20 philly. nnamdi will be an eagle next year, coming to the superbowl champion eagles that is.
27-20, the same score they left week one with.

they didnt prepare for vick, but vick just came in and had to play football as well, being a backup.
i checked out every single stats between the eagles, packers, and the other nfc playoff teams
its us fellas, dont buy into the overhype and glorification the media has portrayed for GB
worship them for what?!?! making the playoffs like 11 other teams

coming off a 10-point scoring output in a win-or-go game.
they have the worst oline in the playoffs with inexperience players outside of woodson and collins
give me a break, were inexperienced but more talented and havent come close to peaking yet.
we had a semi-bye week, andy reid got extra time to gameplan and starters got to rest

on the other hand GB played mediocre all-out football with a one-dimensional offense
aaron rodgers, love the guy respect him, he is a stud. he is also 99% of their offense
vick does a lot for us, but he doesnt have to.
shady is 2nd in the nfl (1st in the nfc) in yards from scrimmage.
desean-jennings. maclin-driver. avant-nelson. celek-lee/quarless.
as inconsistent as our oline has been, i repeat theirs is worse. justice is no worse than baluga
you cant clone charles woodson. who is going to cover our wrs if he is blizing???

all we have to do on offense is not call for 20 yard routes.
scan the field and communicate. snap the ball. see the blitz. wrs look at the ball. problem solved
marty…if you wanna be a head coach again, manifest common sense. its nothing difficult
our kick returning is right with theirs and punt returning is better.
our special teams coverage is better. our punters are similar and akers is a top 2 kicker (bironas).

andy reid in the WC round. semi-bye week. mcdermott had a masterful gameplan against the colts.
now were playing a very similar offense, challenge rodgers to run and risk another concussion…
1/3 of the field is lock down by asante. trent on the opposite side should be rejuvenated after rest.
if you double cole, and we send one lb to blitz, we will either hit home or they will use one less wr
as much as id love to see us run, its not we we are.
just give shady a dozen carries and at least 5 screens/checkdowns…
…and the refs will get tired of moving the chains

its gonna be a good physical game and should be a low-scoring first half, throwing body punches
come 2nd half, the points can get piled up.
lets go fellassssss lets do this. expect to win. were home.
our defense is udnerrated after a december hiatus. were 12th overall and our offense is superior.
watching this fantastic matchup at my pad with my fam and homies
out here in californ-i-a so you know desean will be reppin the golden state
gonna rgab some california burritos and heatup costco cheesesteaks!!!
ill talk to you fellas after the game and during the week before we head to chi-town
lets go, lets do this go E-A-G-L-E-S…EAGLES!!!!!!!

Ravens 20 – Chiefs 17
(Ravens Pass Defense is not what it used to be,but will be enough versus the Chiefs who have
leading WR D Boew huring, WR C Chambers out and newly signed ex-Eagle K Curtis as their 4th WR
today)

If it’s windy i’d say crank up the blitz on anything longer then 3-8…wind will be tough.

How much would early success on the ground get the crowd up?

Good point Erock – High winds could hurt the Packers deep passes giving the Eagles an advantage with less risk for the Eagles to blitz. Unfortunately, that sword cuts both ways. Andy’s sure has been reluctant to keep his WRs from running deep routes even with high QB pressure so, he better have planned on pounding the rock more or the Eagles O may really struggle today unless they get a few huge plays early.

Chiefs could easily advance to the AFC Championship. They are built for the playoffs just because they have the talent to play ball control football. I just think they have the risk factor of youth (much like the Eagles) can they overcome the pressure of the playoffs. How do they respond when the season is on the line down three with 40 seconds on the clock?

In spite of this I still think the Eagles and Chiefs pull the wins today!

Also, Eric Berry is going to be a stud!

KC is such a nice young team. That Scott Pioli at GM is is a great talent evaluator. NE, Pitts, Indy, and Baltimore also have great talent evaluators. Its amazing with all the Eagles misses in the first 3 rounds how they continue to win 10 games a year.

By the way high winds actually favor the Packers. They have one of the best short passing offenses. The short passes just aren’t impacted by wind. Who cares.. in my opion they are going to gouged for 150 yards on the ground. Seven just can’t throw the ball up and has to remain disciplined.

Milwaukeebirds….good call.I dont think i’ve heard this much clamoring for a rungame since a muddy Turkey Bowl in 05′.

I think the Ravesn will make adjustments and block better in the second half. Todd Heap is beating them like Jon Bonham.

I know this is no epiphany for anyone on this site but I need to write once again that ,whether Reid will admit it or not, this game is going to be all about the Eagles D front 4 keeping pressure on Rodgers and the Eagles O line making holes for McCoy. The play action pass can win this game for the birds because the Packers D is going to push all their chips in on the blitz against Vick.

The local radio station WIP broadcast Merill during the game and they have live streaming. They may also stream the game but the NFL may squash it so you pay them to listen. It’s worth a shot… Here’s a link.

610wip.com no longer exists. It automatically redirects you to a CBS site but you can still get to the streaming. I never streamed wysp but either way, I think neither station will stream to the internet becuase of NFL broadcast rules. If you want to stream it, I think you need to stream it from nfl.com which requires a subscription.
