The number seven-ranked Villanova Wildcats are up at the Carrier Dome taking on the number three ranked Syracuse Orangemen. Jay Wright’s squad is led by talented Nova senior guard Corey Fisher, who can put the ball on the floor and get an open look on anybody.
The Orangemen are big team and they major in playing that 3-2 zone. The Wildcats will have to be shooting well if they are to beat the Orangemen, who have lost only one game this season. They have a couple of key players, Neumann-Goretti duo of Rick Jackson and Scoop Jardin, who are from the Philadelphia area.
Right now Nova guard Malik Wayans is killing the Orangemen with three-point shots. Another Nova guard Corey Stokes just buried a three. The Wildcats have a 27-17 lead with 8 minutes to go in the half.
