Not One Eagles Player Went To The Nova Care Complex Today

Philly.com Eagles reporters were at the Eagles Nova Care Complex this morning before 8am. They were waiting for Eagles players to report after the injunction ruling yesterday, but they discovered they were wasting their time at about 10am.

I don’t think one Eagles players went to the Nova Care Complex today. Eagles players rep Winston Justice told me he sent out a email message to all of the team’s players last night, letting them know that they could go to the Nova Care Complex, today if they wanted to do so.

He didn’t think any players were going over there and he was right.

In much the same fashion as yesterday, quite a few members of the team came to the Power Train facility in Cherry Hill, New Jersey to get in their workouts with trainer Steve Saunders.

Veteran free agent safety Quintin Mikell was pleased that Judge Susan Nelson delivered the injunction for the players, but he doesn’t think this battle is going to be settled any time soon.

I didn’t get a chance to talk to kicker David Akers, who gets in and out of there early in the morning.

Center Jamaal Jackson looks like his legs are good and healthy. He was getting in his work again today.

Defensive tackle Trevor Laws was there today, as well as Jeremy Maclin and his buddy from the University of Missouri, Atlanta Falcons linebacker Sean Weatherspoon. Maclin joked with me on the way out, “I don’t know if the Eagles would let me in facility if I went up there”.

Maclin looked like he’s gained most of the weight he had lost when he caught a bug a month ago.

Eagles middle linebacker Jamar Chaney was up there today. He said he prefers to workout in Cherry Hill with Saunders, so lockout or not doesn’t change what he does. He thinks the case is going to be stuck in court for a while.

Two teammates and business partners, Eagles tight end Brent Celek and right guard Todd Herremans didn’t think the ruling yesterday changed anything. They said they normally workout at the Cherry Hill facility so the ruling didn’t change anything for them. They’re working out and also working on a draft party they’ll have on Saturday at their Center City Sportsbar which aptly named “879”.

I enjoy hearing about these guys getting in the gym and working on there physical weaknesses. I was hoping to hear D Jax was in there bulking up too along with Maclin… great to hear jamaal jacksons moving around well he’s a big part of our team. Jamar cheney needed to get alil bigger but he mentioned increasing his speed too, now that’s scary bc he’s already very fast… these guys will hopefully be bigger and stonger and more durable. They’ve had so many fluke injuries in the past improving there body strength and conditioning is key
