Report: Eagles Had Kolb Deal In Place With Cardinals Before The Draft

ProFootball Weekly reported yesterday that the Eagles had a deal in place with Arizona Cardinals which involved Birds backup quarterback Kevin Kolb. The would have sent Kolb to the Cardinals and in return the Eagles would have received an undisclosed assortment of compensation. That deal has been put to the side due to the NFL Lockout and ongoing court battle between the NFL owners and the NFL Players Association.

“The Eagles, sources told PFW, had a potential deal in place to trade QB Kevin Kolb to the Cardinals before the draft, but those plans changed when veterans were not allowed to be dealt. It’s very possible, however, that the Cardinals and Eagles could reignite those trade talks.”

imma go check out who the cards drafted from rounds 2-5, i dont think patick peterson is involved, or rather i prefer not to pipe dream during this osama chaos

Listen, P peterson may have not been involved but Domonique Cromartie and picks probably was… they wouldn’t give up a 5th overall pick for kolb… so this deal may still take place if this lockout is lifted tmr and I’m hearing it may be… that’s what mort and adam shef said…

So remember there CB Domonique Cromartie and picks for kolb… I actually would love to get Darnell Dockett too honestly but cromartie and picks is what I think it will be… The fun is just beginning…

The more realistic deal would be kolb for a 2nd and Domonique Cromartie… no Dockett…
The only player that interest me that they drafted is that LB Acho that’s it… there draft was horrible…

I figured they had something on the table for Kolb. we’ll see. also, i know some of you may not like Haynesworth for what ever reason but I think he will be an eagle. I’d take him ASAP; plus our D-line coach knows him and will bring the beast out of him with us. If and when he clears his court case, I think he’ll be an eagle… well see.

G, thanks for posting this in the AM. peace

Osama been dead for over 2 years…Don’t believe the hype..This is a distraction from the illegal killings in Libya..NATO is bombing the same people they claimed they were there to liberate…

I guess Obama is liberating in Libya the way Bush Liberated Iraq

Anyone else wonder why there’s no footage or proof of osama’s death, and he was buried at sea, not a conspiracy person, and don’t believe in thermite paint at 9-11, but a little odd, all we have to go on is what the president and news tells us?! A little anticlimactic!

How is it odd? No country would want to take on his remains. He was dispersed in conjunticion with islamic religion. Why would there be footage of a top secret navy seal operation?

believe me fella, there is footage on the entire episode, the general public won’t see it, but you bet your bottom $$$ the Military had the entire operation filmed/videoed from beginning to end…

As far as a potential trade with Cardinals
A 2nd Round pick in #2012 amd CB S Cromartie would be a good deal for both sides and I would take it in a heart beat if I was the Eagles
As far as the Cardinals trading newly Drafted CB Petersen , it’s not going to happen folks..

I agree with Paulman. That deal would work out well for both teams and also about Peterson. I am sure that the league would have a look at a Peterson for Kolb trade too.

May 2, 2011 10:08 am

Why would the CArdinals trade possibly the most talented player in this entire Draft for Kolb.. They need a QB but they are not stupid and going the trade a player of Peterson talent and ability for a QB who has as many unknowns as the Young QB’s already on their Roster.. ..
I think Petersen will be playing the Free-Safety Position by 2012 for the Cardinals..

SONGSRME2

The bottom line is that a team can do anything they want with their players. If The Cardinals want to trade a player on their roster for Kolb ..and that includes Peterson…they can do it. The NFL can’t prove anything

The Cardinals can say the Eagles would not accept any other player. And?

Anyway it’s not going to happenr because we’re in year 2 of the Right Corner Blind Spot.

There’s nothing to see here until it cost us another run..then they’ll get someone next off season…and with our Luck Asante will go down and the Blind Spot will switch to Left Corner.

Welcome to Philadelphia

Guys on here need to relax, they’re too enamored with p peterson as if he’s the end all, they have a CB by the name of Domo Cromartie a shutdown type of corner who’s only 24 yr old, if that trade doesn’t happen they have the option of pursuing Nnamdi (which I don’t see happening bc they’ll most likely have there trade for a CB already) but this is a very good option…. but there are others, Jonathan Joseph and the other Cromartie Antonio (this cromartie I don’t like for he gets beat deep a lot and gets penalized too often)

So guys don’t view Patrick Peterson as the best and only option, they’ll have there choice of other very good CBs when free agency begins…

Andy has been know to make those “big splashes” when he feels that the team is a player or two away from being the real deal. Roseman has shown that he isn’t afraid to make some deals. I like what they have done so far(def cord is a stretch but he is a really good coach) with coaching changes and even the draft. Whenever free agency starts, I think you will see 3 really big signings to make us fans geared up.

Rodgers-Cromartie would be a great solution to this problem. Solid young CB.

stopgoat; really, not talking bout footage of top secret navy seal operations, talkin bout footage that he actually was killed, need a pic of the body or some other proof, as far as the burial at sea, that’s the biggest load of bs you could believe, who cares about his religion, we should of tattooed a star of david on his forehead, and “property of us” on his ass! That dude deserves no proper burial, and to do so is gonna make people question why. After 9-11 that dude lost all his rights! that’s what i am trying to convey.

as far as the deal, cromartie, and a 2nd next year would be nice, next years crop should be better than this years. I do think they have a plan for corner after reids statement that its not a finished product, they do throw money at certain positions, corner being one of em, im more concerned with DL, and expect herremans to be the starting rt next year, watkins at lg, and the rest of the draft picks, and maybe mcglynn to battle it out at rg, the line should be much better than last year barring injuries. Hopefully there won’t be any jailbreaks on the right side next season if there is one.

What the hell pman I suggested this trade yesterday and you said theres no way it happens.

“no way Mimi..
Since the Cards have 2 2nd Year QB’s on their Roster already and they like
M Hall for the future, they will sign a proven Veteran to give them 2 Years to bridge the gap while Hall Develops”

Now G suggests it and its a real possibilty?

Patrick Peterson for Kolbjob? Better chance at getting Norm Peterson or J. Peterman or Peter Rabbit. Cromartie is a good bet though. Throw in Sturdivant, give KK some suntan lotion and show him the door.

Scill ..A nut is those who beleive Bin Laden who was reported killed 8 different times in 10 years was killed a few days ago with his body conveniently buried at sea. What garbage,

Conveniently after NATO killed Ghadaffi’s son and grandchilfren….no one in Pakistan believes the story…but stupid americans believe anything..The terrorist are those who train the Bin Ladens….wake up

By the way…9 of the so called box cutter geniuses that so called ran into the towers are still living.

truth is not conspiracy and another thing….Bin Laden was not wanted for the twin tower attacks because there was never any proof he did it. But the simple americans won’t take the time to read the reports.

I’ll be waiting for the video and pics Obama claim he was veiwing live with his cabinet.

Wow, Songs hates the Eagles because he’s a Pittsburgh Steelers running back! Now I get it.

Songs, and how many of those 8 reports were followed by international media coverage, a presidential speech, DNA confirmation.. etc.. 0

Who says anyone ran into the towers?

And you’re saying Bin Laden wasn’t a terrorist?

OK so your version of the truth is correct, and ours is conspiracy. Alright, let’s take a look at that. You’re source is the internet…. and ours is the greater media plus the internet. About equal in terms of them both being indirect sources that really can’t be proved cold and hard.

Hey man, believe whatever you want. But you’re a nut
